<strong>Mississippi</strong> DOT – <strong>HMA</strong> QC/QA Dispute Resolution Flow Chart<br />

Definitions:<br />

QC and QC Original = test results on the samples tested in the Contractor’s lab during construction.<br />

QC RA = The running average of the Contractor’s test results for the preceding tests or the subsequent tests<br />

as required by Section 907-401.02.6.2 of the specifications.<br />

QA and QA Verification = the routine District quality assurance verification tests.<br />

QC Verification = tests conducted by the Contractor on a split of the QA verification sample.<br />

QC Split = tests conducted by the Contractor on a split of the retained QC samples.<br />

QA Split = tests conducted by District on a split of the retained QC samples.<br />

MD = Materials Division tests on either splits of the retained QC samples or other samples to resolve<br />

differences in test results between MDOT and the Contractor.<br />
