Warranty and Service
The Otto Bock warranty for products from the
C-Leg® Product Line is valid only if the product
has been serviced according to the recommended
service intervals. Each service includes
inspection, replacement of worn parts
and, if need be, repair of the hydraulic, electronic
and mechanical units.
The systems are delivered with a “Service
Card“ that offers a quick overview of service
check-up dates in table form.
C-Leg®
Otto Bock will provide an interim joint system
for each service. Orthopedic technicians
merely have to order the appropriate interim
joint system with the corresponding tube adapter.
After replacing the patient’s joint system
with the interim joint system, the orthopedic
technician sends the to-be-repaired
system to Otto Bock HealthCare for service.
Prosthesis users thus remain mobile for the
entire time and enjoy all the advantages of
their customary regular knee joint system at
all times.
Knee Joints
The service and warranty concept for the C-Leg® was optimized on the basis of ten years of experience and over
16,000 fittings. Service is now required only every 24 months. Otto Bock Healthcare GmbH assumes a 3-year
warranty if the free 24-month service is performed. A 5-year warranty can also be purchased of the C-Leg®
prosthetic leg system. The latter warranty is valid only if the free service is performed after 24 and 48 months.
C-Leg®compact
The C-Leg®compact must be serviced every 24 months. The C-Leg®compact warranty is valid for 3 years.
The warranty is only valid if the free service is performed every 24 months.
