Tcpclientport<br />

The tcpclientport option specifies a TCP/IP port number <strong>for</strong> the server to contact<br />

the client when the server begins the server prompted scheduled operation.<br />

Use this option only if you specify the prompted parameter with the schedmode<br />

option.<br />

If sessioninitiation is set to serveronly, the value <strong>for</strong> the tcpclientport client<br />

option should be the same as the value <strong>for</strong> the LLAddress server option.<br />

Supported <strong>Clients</strong><br />

This option is valid <strong>for</strong> all clients. The <strong>Tivoli</strong> <strong>Storage</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> client API does not<br />

support this option.<br />

Options File<br />

Place this option in the client options file (dsm.opt). You can set this option on the<br />

Scheduler tab, Your TCP/IP port field of the Preferences editor.<br />

Syntax<br />

►► TCPCLIENTPort client_port_address ►◄<br />

Parameters<br />

client_port_address<br />

Specifies the TCP/IP port address you want the server to use to contact your<br />

client node. The range of values is 1 through 32767; the default is 1501.<br />

Examples<br />

Options file:<br />

tcpclientp 1502<br />

Command line:<br />

-tcpclientport=1492<br />

This option is valid only on the initial command line. It is not valid in interactive<br />

mode.<br />

Tcpnodelay<br />

The tcpnodelay option specifies whether the client disables the delay of sending<br />

successive small packets on the network, per transaction.<br />

Change the value from the default of yes only under one of the following<br />

conditions:<br />

v You are directed to change the option by <strong>IBM</strong> technical support.<br />
