REASONS FOR FAILURE<br />
1 Incorrectly or loosely mounted or damaged.<br />
2 Advanced rust in fuel tank (see page 58).<br />
3 Leaks.<br />
4 Unsuitable fuel tank.<br />
5 LPG/CNG tank fitted inside vehicle without being<br />
sub- compartmented or without having valves piped to the outside.<br />
6 LPG/CNG venting or ducting pipes damaged or blocked.<br />
7 Sub-compartment obviously not gas tight where<br />
valves are not piped to the outside.<br />
8 Fuel tank fitted to roof.<br />
9 <strong>Manual</strong> or solenoid valves not operating.<br />
10 Possibility of fuel lines being crushed, chafed, ruptured or subject<br />
to excessive vibration.<br />
11 No fuel cap or fuel cap seal damaged or missing.<br />
12 Sticking, binding or excessively worn.<br />
13 Link pins, retaining devices or safety devices missing.<br />
14 Cracked or fractured mounting bracket or panel.<br />
15 Gives off excessive smoke if operated from within<br />
the cab after the engine has been started.<br />
16 Not working or missing.<br />
17 Air filter assembly insecure, missing or incomplete.<br />
Note: If a vehicle is presented with a Nitrous Oxide (NO 2 ) injection<br />
system fitted, it should be failed under Reason For Failure (4) above.<br />
