2009 Summer Engineering and Science Programs for KIDS
Advanced Outdoor Explorer
Participants explore the natural world while
hiking, orienteering, testing and purifying
water, and horseback riding. Other highlights
of this experience include a field trip to
a local Metropark, an in-depth night sky
program in our state-of-the-art planetarium,
and a hands-on experience with native tools
and technologies.

Advanced Ecology Explorer
Take ecology to the next level with this
environmentally focused camp. Participants
engage in advanced water and soil testing
and analyzing techniques, work side-by-side
with local advocacy groups to create habitats,
design a rain garden, and explore careers in
fresh-water marine biology all in five days!
Parents, this is a MEAP Concept Camp.

Advanced Physics Explorer
The wonders of physics come alive during
Advanced Physics week. Build rockets,
pneumatic devices, shake flashlights,
trebuchets, maglev vehicles, and a whole lot
more while exploring physical phenomena
through interactive activities and laboratory
techniques. Each day concludes with
swimming at Williams Natatorium.

Science Explorer I, II, and III
Each Science Explorer program allows
campers the opportunity to explore
everything from our mineral collection to
the unpredictable elements of weather. We
will uncover baby dinosaurs in our summer
exhibit, Hatching the Past, and participate in
our own fossil dig and dinosaur egg hunt.
