Pump and pipework installation
(i) Float switch assembly
Assemble the float switch onto the stainless steel mounting
bracket then mount and position the bracket on the pump body
using the large hose clip as shown in figure 11. Do not
overtighten the clip.
USW200 requires the 4mm bore level sensing tube and sleeved
grommet to be fitted to the bracket, as shown.
Secure the float switch cable and sensing tube (where fitted) to
the pump cable with cable ties every 300mm.
(ii) Discharge hose assembly
Apply a few turns of thread tape to the 25mm hose adaptor and
fit to the outlet of the pump, then secure the discharge hose
with the hose clip.
Tie the pump withdrawal cord to the eyelet on the pump body
and lower the assembly into the well.
Both control systems require a length of 15mm Equator push-fit
pipe to run from the discharge hose fitting to the wall tap or
connection point for the header tank.
Note: the Equator pipe can be used to assist in feeding the
electrical cables and tubing through the service pipe to the
control housing – refer to page 12 before proceeding.
