Chaplain Carolyn Lass facilitates our<br />
Bereavement Support Group<br />
to guide those suffering the loss<br />
of a loved one through the process of grieving.<br />
This is a small, intimate gathering of<br />
<strong>Sun</strong> <strong>City</strong> residents who meet twice monthly in<br />
<strong>Anthem</strong> Center on Monday evenings.<br />
The group is non-denominational and those<br />
attending are welcome to come as often as they<br />
like for whatever period of time they prefer.<br />

those who wish to learn more about<br />
alcoholism from recovering alcoholics.<br />
We supply a brochure<br />

<strong>Anthem</strong>, Independence, and Liberty<br />
Centers. Or phone the number listed<br />
below and we will get you a copy.<br />

Volunteers provide the following services:<br />
TRANSPORTATION:<br />
To local area medical providers or supermarkets. Three (3)<br />
business days notice required to arrange your ride.<br />
EQUIPMENT:<br />
We will loan you (on a temporary basis) a wheelchair, walker,<br />
crutches, cane, or other durable medical equipment.<br />
HOME MAINTENANCE:<br />
Assistance with minor home maintenance chores such as<br />
cleaning or replacing overhead air filters, replacing batteries in<br />
smoke alarms and CO detectors, changing overhead light bulbs<br />
or lubricating garage doors.<br />
HOME ASSISTANCE:<br />
Resource directory of information on fee-based, discount,<br />
and many other services available to seniors. Volunteers will<br />
also shop and deliver groceries or prescription medication to<br />
residents who are temporarily homebound.<br />
SUPPORT GROUPS:<br />
CSC sponsors several support groups to assist the residents of<br />
<strong>Sun</strong> <strong>City</strong> <strong>Anthem</strong>.<br />

Alzheimer’s Caregivers<br />

One-on-one grief counseling for loss of a child<br />
One-on-one guidance through<br />
Jewish bereavement protocol<br />

(for those caring for a loved one at home)<br />
