护 理 学 院 与 重 庆 医 科 大 学 的 合 作

The College of Nursing at Michigan State University
provides high quality nursing education programs
including baccalaureate of science in nursing
(BSN), masters of science in nursing (MSN) with
concentrations in adult nurse practitioner, family nurse
prac-tioner, nurse anesthesia, and nurse educator and a
doctoral program (PhD) which focuses on clinical research.
Professional education for practicing nurses includes

Chongqing Medical University
programs that support nurses in transition to new career roles in
hospital and community settings. The College of Nursing
is a leader in adopting technology to deliver educational
programs.
The research program is rated 23rd in National Institutes
of Health funding for Colleges of Nursing. Faculty research
is focused on chronic health conditions and healthy
families and populations. The College is nationally known
for research in the management of chronic illness from
prevention to palliative care. Innovative aspects of this
research include the use of technology to improve continuity
of care and assure safe, high quality patient outcomes.
The faculty is committed to improving health for our
citizens which require translating knowledge into patient
care. Nursing faculty members have the opportunity to
maintain a clinical practice as part of their role. Practice
sites include the Michigan State University Family Health
Center which provides primary care to patients of all ages.
The College of Nursing is honored to have developed a
partnership with Chongqing Medical University. Planning for
the relationship began in 2006
when Assistant Dean Teresa
Wehrwein visited Chongqing
Medical University. In May 2007,
discussions continued during a
visit to Michigan State University
by President Han Lei and Dean Li
Li Ruan from Chongqing Medical
University. In November 2007, Dean Mary H. Mundt and
Assistant Dean Wehrwein visited Chongqing Medical
University. The outcome of these meetings was a general
agreement for academic cooperation between the College
of Nursing and Chongqing Medical University. This
international alliance has established a student and faculty
exchange program and potential research collaboration
between the Universities. The first student exchange, a twoweek
program at Michigan State University for 10 Chongqing
Medical University baccalaureate nursing students, is
scheduled for summer 2008.

作 开 始 于 2006 年 护 理 学 院 副 院 长 Teresa Wehrwein 到 重 庆
医 科 大 学 的 访 问 。2007 年 5 月 , 重 庆 医 科 大 学 校 长 雷 寒 和 院
长 阮 莉 莉 在 密 西 根 州 立 大 学 访 问 期 间 双 方 就 合 作 计 划 进 行
了 进 一 步 讨 论 .2007 年 11 月 , 院 长 Mary H. Mundt 和 副 院 长
Teresa Wehrwein 再 次 访 问 重 庆 医 科 大 学 . 最 后 双 方 就 密 西
根 州 立 大 学 护 理 学 院 和 重 庆 医 科 大 学 在 学 术 方 面 的 合 作 达
成 协 议 . 这 项 国 际 合 作 包 括 学 生 和 教 师 交 流 互 换 以 及 可 能
进 行 的 科 研 合 作 。 首 次 学 生 交 流 项 目 定 于 2008 年 暑 期 ,10 位
重 庆 医 科 大 学 的 本 科 护 理 学 学 生 将 在 密 西 根 州 立 大 学 学 习
两 周 。
