including four consecutive TDs to open the second half that put the game
out of reach.
vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (11/20): Helped neutralize former college teammate
and powerful DT Albert Haynesworth, limiting the veteran to just one
10th consecutive 100-plus passer rating game (112.3).
at Detroit Lions (11/24): Again comandeered the operation in a hostile environment
against an aggressive and deep defensive line, allowing Rodgers
to stay mostly clean while completing 22-of-33 for 307 yards and two
TDs...Game marked the NFL-record 11th straight that Rodgers eclipsed the
100-plus passer rating plateau and the QB became just the third player in
NFL history to throw two or more TD passes in each of the first 11 games
of a season.
at New York Giants (12/4): Part of a front that helped protect Rodgers en
route to his single-season franchise record eighth 300-yard passing
game and ninth with three or more TD passes...Overall, the QB completed
28-of-46 for 369 yards and four TDs...Yardage total was his third highest
regular-season career high that he had also posted three previous times in
late in the second quarter to spring RB Brandon Saine for a 22-yard gain
on a screen.
vs. Oakland Raiders (12/11): Had another excellent performance up front,
the game strong, executing a sound reach block on Seymour that helped
spring Grant for a 47-yard TD run off of LG on the offense’s first play of
the game...Offense equaled its season-high rushing total through the first
13 games with 136 yards on 24 carries (5.7 avg.)...Also teamed with Lang
to block DT Desmond Bryant on Rodgers’ 37-yard TD pass to Nelson in the
second quarter that was the QB’s 39th scoring throw of the season, tying
the franchise record...On the Packers’ next possession, also joined Lang
in blocking Seymour, helping to free Grant for a 6-yard scoring run that
extended the lead to 31-0 mid-way through the second quarter.
at Kansas City Chiefs (12/18): Tried to maintain stability amidst and
OL that continues to face injuries in 2011...Held communication
despite personnel changes at both LG and RT during the game...
Helped block for Grant’s healthy 5.5-yard average on 12 carries and two
second-half TD drives on what was a challenging day for the offense.
vs. Chicago Bears (12/25): Helped clear the way for what was a productive,
efficient outing for the offense, one that produced five TD drives despite
a time of possession just over the 24-minute mark...Despite replacement
starters at both LG and RT, the OL kept Rodgers upright as he was not
sacked for the first time in 2011 and tied the franchise record with five TD
passes in the game...Also set the franchise’s single-season passing yardage
record and became the first player in NFL history to have 13 100-plus
passer rating games in a season...Threw a block on S Major Wright near
the end of Grant’s career-long 32-yard catch-and-run on a screen pass
on the game’s opening drive...Also executed a good block on Toeaina
