83 Tom Crabtree, TE, 2nd Year, Miami (Ohio)<br />

2011 Season: A core special teams player and rugged blocker who has<br />

continued to carve out his niche on a roster loaded with talent at the skill<br />

positions...Has appeared in all 15 games with a career-high eight starts<br />

and has set new career highs in each of the receiving categories with five<br />

catches for 31 yards (6.2 avg.) and a TD, having also added six tackles and<br />

a forced fumble on special teams.<br />

<strong>vs</strong>. New Orleans Saints (9/8): Saw action as part of various two-and-three TE<br />

sets and finished with one reception for 4 yards...Catch came on a thirdand-3<br />

late in the second quarter and the first down extended what was<br />

ultimately a 14-play, 80-yard drive that culminated with a <strong>17</strong>-yard James<br />

Starks TD run two plays later...Also made a good block on LB Will Herring<br />

on a 10-yard run by RB Ryan Grant on the second drive of the first quarter,<br />

driving Herring <strong>com</strong>pletely out of the play to his side.<br />

at Carolina Panthers (9/18): Started the game and also saw extensive action<br />

as part of the inverted wishbone, three-man backfield, effectively serving<br />

as a second FB and lead blocker...On Starks’ game-long 40-yard rush in<br />

the third quarter, came out of the backfield to the left side of the line of<br />

scrimmage and helped seal the backside with a sturdy block of LB James<br />

Anderson, allowing Starks to <strong>com</strong>e clean through the linebacker level and<br />

into the secondary.<br />

at Chicago Bears (9/25): Started his second consecutive game and set the<br />

tone on the opening snap when he motioned into the backfield to serve as<br />

a lead blocker...Came through the line between RG and RT and slammed<br />

LB Nick Roach, helping to free Grant for a 13-yard gain...Also lined up at<br />

FB on Grant’s game-long 14-yard run early in the fourth quarter, again<br />

<strong>com</strong>ing through the right side of the offensive line, this time shielding LB<br />

Brian Urlacher, allowing Grant to get into the secondary.<br />

<strong>vs</strong>. Denver Broncos (10/2): Did not have any receptions, but was productive<br />

as a blocker yet again, helping the offense rack up 507 net yards,<br />

maintaining a consistent balance between run and pass...Late in the first<br />

quarter, lined up in the backfield and made a backside cut on DE Robert<br />

Ayers, freeing Starks for a 16-yard gain off the left edge...On the following<br />

play, stayed in to block as part of an eight-man protection on QB Aaron<br />

Rodgers’ 50-yard pass to WR Jordy Nelson on the offense’s first TD of the<br />

afternoon...On the play, teamed with FB John Kuhn to hold off Ayers long<br />

enough for Rodgers to scan the secondary and hit Nelson in stride for the<br />

score...Also made one of the two critical blocks on the successful surprise<br />

onside kick executed by Green Bay late in the first quarter...Charged forward<br />

to block LB Nate Irving as one of only two Denver players on his side<br />

of the formation...Allowed Nelson to secure the ball behind him, yielding<br />

the Packers offense yet another possession that would result in a TD drive.<br />

at Atlanta Falcons (10/9): Started for the third time in five games and<br />

contributed one catch for 15 yards...<strong>Release</strong>d into the right flat on a first<br />

down play late in the second quarter and hauled in the pass from Rodgers<br />

near the sideline, advancing forward for 15 yards...Also recorded a special<br />

teams tackle, cutting down explosive return man WR Eric Weems on the<br />

Falcons’ lone kickoff return of the game.<br />

<strong>vs</strong>. St. Louis Rams (10/16): Started yet again, but did not record any receiving<br />

statistics...Helped get the initial push on DE Chris Long as part of a<br />

play-action run fake that resulted in a 35-yard TD pass from Rodgers to<br />

WR James Jones.<br />

at Minnesota Vikings (10/23): Appeared in the game on both offense and<br />

special teams but did not record any statistics.<br />

at San Diego Chargers (11/6): Appeared in the game but did not record any<br />

statistics...Stayed in to block on a play-action bootleg by Rodgers early<br />

in the fourth quarter and teamed with Kuhn to keep LB Darryl Gamble at<br />

bay...Allowed Rodgers time to roll out and find Nelson deep down the field<br />

for a 64-yard gain.<br />

<strong>vs</strong>. Minnesota Vikings (11/14): Played on both offense and special teams but<br />

did not record any statistics.<br />

<strong>vs</strong>. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (11/20): Started as part of a two-TE formation and<br />

finished with two catches for 5 yards (2.5 avg.), the first of which was a<br />

5-yard TD early in the second quarter, the first regular-season TD of his<br />

career...On the play, released to the right side of the end zone on what was<br />

a play-action fake and looked the ball into his hands to give Green Bay a<br />

14-0 lead...<strong>Game</strong> also marked the first multi-catch outing of his career...<br />

Also recorded a forced fumble on special teams when he tackled WR<br />

Preston Parker on a second-half punt return, but the ball bounced out of<br />

bounds and did possession did not change.<br />

at <strong>Detroit</strong> Lions (11/24): Appeared in the game, and was effective as a blocker,<br />

despite not recording any receiving statistics...Lined up in the backfield<br />

and had a powerful lead block on LB Stephen Tulloch on Starks’ game-long<br />

12-yard carry in the second quarter...Also made his fourth coverage tackle<br />

of the season when he brought down WR Stefan Logan on a kickoff return<br />

in the third quarter.<br />

at New York Giants (12/4): Made one catch for 7 yards and also contributed<br />

a special teams tackle in kickoff coverage...Reception converted a secondand-6<br />

and the offense scored a TD four plays later to extend the Packers’<br />

lead to 35-27 late in the fourth quarter.<br />

<strong>vs</strong>. Oakland Raiders (12/11): Did not record any receiving statistics, but was<br />

a helpful part of the blocking unit that helped the offense tie its season-high<br />

rushing total through 13 games with 136 yards on 24 carries (5.7 avg.)...<br />

Also recorded a special teams tackle in kickoff coverage.<br />

at Kansas City Chiefs (12/18): Started for the seventh time in 2011, appearing<br />

both on offense and special teams, but did not record any statistics.<br />

<strong>vs</strong>. Chicago Bears (12/25): Started and made his sixth reception of the<br />

season on the game’s opening play, a 7-yard grab that started what was<br />

an eventual TD drive...Also stayed in to block as part of a seven-man<br />

protection on Rodgers’ 55-yard TD pass to Nelson in the third quarter...<br />

On the play, stayed in front of DE Israel Idonije and maintained his block,<br />

allowing the play to develop deep in the secondary, a TD that extended the<br />

Packers’ lead to 21-10.<br />

2 Mason Crosby, K, 5th Year, Colorado<br />

2011 Season: Reliable veteran specialist who was named a first alternate<br />

to the Pro Bowl, having opened the 2011 season 23-for-26 on FG attempts,<br />

in addition to having converted 62 of his 63 PAT tries (had one blocked <strong>vs</strong>.<br />

Oakland in <strong>Week</strong> 14)...Dating back to <strong>Week</strong> 13 of 2010, had converted 23<br />

consecutive FGs in the regular season, breaking Chris Jacke’s record (<strong>17</strong>)<br />

for the longest streak in franchise history, before hitting the right upright<br />

on a 29-yard attempt in <strong>Week</strong> 11 <strong>vs</strong>. Tampa Bay...Tied his own team record<br />

(set in <strong>Week</strong> 1 of 2010) with a 56-yard FG at Atlanta (Oct. 9), and then<br />

exceeded it two weeks later with a franchise-best 58-yarder at Minnesota<br />

(Oct. 23)...Is now the only kicker in the <strong>NFL</strong> to have three 56-yard FGs<br />

since the start of 2010...Was named the PK on Pro Football <strong>Week</strong>ly’s<br />

Midseason All-Pro team...Has also been the benficiary of the new kickoff<br />

rules, using his powerful leg to boom a career-high 44 touchbacks, which<br />

ranks fifth in the <strong>NFL</strong>...Also ranks fifth in the league among kickers with<br />

131 points on the season, and in <strong>Week</strong> 14, set a new <strong>NFL</strong> record for points<br />

by a player within his first five seasons in the league, now having 633 for<br />

his career...Also executed a surprise onside kick in <strong>Week</strong> 4 <strong>vs</strong>. Denver, his<br />

third consecutive success in that respect, dating back to the 2009 playoffs.<br />

<strong>vs</strong>. New Orleans Saints (9/8): Converted all six of his PAT tries but did not<br />

attempt a FG...Also banged four touchbacks.<br />

at Carolina Panthers (9/18): Led the team in scoring with 12 points after<br />

converting all three of his FG attempts (37, 19, 34 yards) and all three<br />

PATs...Also boomed two touchbacks and limited the Panthers kickoff<br />

returners to a 21.4-yard average on five returns...All three of his FGs came<br />

in the third quarter and came courtesy of turnovers created by the Packers’<br />

defense...Marked the third time in his career he has hit three FGs in a quarter<br />

(also at St. Louis, 9/27/09, and <strong>vs</strong>. <strong>Detroit</strong>, 10/18/09).<br />

at Chicago Bears (9/25): Converted each of his FG opportunities, connecting<br />

from both 37 and 28 yards, and was good on all three PAT tries...Also<br />

drilled three touchbacks on kickoffs and helped limit the Bears’ dangerous<br />

returners to a 21.3-yard average on three returns...Has been successful on<br />

his first five FG attempts to open the season for the second consecutive<br />

year...Kicked three touchbacks...Was also credited with an assisted tackle<br />

in kickoff coverage when came up and put a hit on WR Johnny Knox, helping<br />

LB D.J. Smith finish the tackle on the opening kickoff of the second<br />

half.<br />

<strong>vs</strong>. Denver Broncos (10/2): Connected on each of his career-high seven PAT
