at <strong>Detroit</strong> Lions (11/24): Had a season-high three tackles on special teams<br />

and also appeared briefly on defense, where he recorded an assisted<br />

tackle...Picked up two tackles in kickoff coverage and one on the punt<br />

team, helping Masthay down a season-high four punts inside the <strong>Detroit</strong><br />

20-yard line, forcing the Lions into an average starting position at their<br />

own 16-yard line following each of his five punts...Was a critical cog in<br />

limiting elusive WR Stefan Logan to just one punt return, a play that saw<br />

him drop the returner for a 2-yard loss.<br />

at New York Giants (12/4): Appeared on 12 defensive plays where he did not<br />

record any statistics, but was a force on special teams where as a gunner<br />

he helped keep the Giants from returning any of Masthay’s five punts<br />

and also downed a kick at the 1-yard line late in the third quarter...Helped<br />

Masthay be<strong>com</strong>e the first player in franchise history to land four or more<br />

punts inside the 20-yard line in back-to-back games since the statistic<br />

began being kept in 1976.<br />

<strong>vs</strong>. Oakland Raiders (12/11): Saw limited action on defense, but led the way<br />

with two tackles on the kickoff coverage team.<br />

at Kansas City Chiefs (12/18): Appeared on special teams, downing<br />

Masthay’s career-long 71-yard punt at the Kansas City <strong>17</strong>-yard line in the<br />

second quarter.<br />

<strong>vs</strong>. Chicago Bears (12/25): Helped key a special teams coverage performance<br />

that was an integral part of the Packers winning the field position<br />

battle by 150 yards during the game...Credited with a season-high four<br />

tackles on the coverage units, helping to contain the explosive WR Devin<br />

Hester to just a 23.4-yard average on five kickoff returns and a 3.5-yard<br />

average on two returnable punts...Made three tackles on kickoffs and one<br />

on the punt team, also downing a second-quarter Masthay punt at the<br />

Chicago 19-yard line.<br />

76 Chad Clifton, T, 12th Year, Tennessee<br />

2011 Season: Veteran protector who has climbed the franchise’s alltime<br />

list for games played and service time over the course of his 12-year<br />

career...Opened each of the first five games at his familiar LT post providing<br />

his usually superb pass protection as a critical piece to an offense that<br />

led the <strong>NFL</strong> in scoring through five games (34.6 ppg avg) and ranked No.<br />

4 in total offense...Suffered a significant hamstring injury on the offense’s<br />

second possession of the <strong>Week</strong> 6 game at Atlanta (Oct. 9) and has not<br />

played since.<br />

<strong>vs</strong>. New Orleans Saints (9/8): Became just the fourth offensive lineman in<br />

franchise history to have appeared in 160 games, starting his 155th at LT<br />

in the season opener...Consistent protection against an aggressive, blitzhappy<br />

Saints defense allowed Rodgers time to <strong>com</strong>plete 27-of-35 attempts<br />

for 312 yards and three TDs...Had a good set against DE Junior Galette on<br />

Rodgers’ 32-yard TD pass to WR Randall Cobb late in the first quarter, and<br />

was part of a line that allowed just two sacks in 37 dropbacks with both<br />

<strong>com</strong>ing on blitzes.<br />

at Carolina Panthers (9/18): Had another solid performance as part of a<br />

protection unit that yielded just one sack in 30 dropbacks and helped<br />

clear the way for a 400-yard output...Was matched primarily against DE<br />

Charles Johnson for most of the game...Sealed the backside with his block<br />

of Johnson on RB James Starks’ game-long 40-yard run in the third quarter...Also<br />

had sound protection against the noted pass rusher on Rodgers’<br />

84-yard TD pass to WR Jordy Nelson late in the fourth quarter...Also had<br />

a good set against DE Greg Hardy on Rodgers’ 39-yard hookup with TE<br />

Jermichael Finley near the start of the second quarter...Hardy tried to beat<br />

him with an inside move, but the veteran held him off, allowing Rodgers<br />

time to scan the secondary and throw deep downfield.<br />

at Chicago Bears (9/25): Helped create a consistent pocket against an<br />

attacking Chicago front seven led by perennial Pro Bowl DE Julius<br />

Peppers...Helped limit Peppers to just one sack on 40 passing plays as<br />

the OL surrendered only two total during the game...Sustained a bull rush<br />

from Peppers that allowed Rodgers time to find TE Jermichael Finley for a<br />

24-yard gain early in the second quarter...Also made a good block on DE<br />

Israel Idonije on RB Ryan Grant’s game-long 14-yard run early in the fourth<br />

quarter...Teamed with LG T.J. Lang against Peppers to seal the left side of<br />

the pocket, allowing Rodgers to roll right and find Finley for a 7-yard TD<br />

early in the second quarter.<br />

<strong>vs</strong>. Denver Broncos (10/2): Saw most of his snaps opposite DE Elvis<br />

Dumervil and pitched a shutout against the noted pass rusher, limiting him<br />

to just one tackle and no sacks on the afternoon...Part of a protection unit<br />

that helped the offense to a 500-yard performance and six scoring drives<br />

en route to a 49-23 victory, the highest single-game scoring output by a<br />

Green Bay team since 2005...Pinned Dumervil to the inside on a 16-yard<br />

run off by Starks off the left edge late in the first quarter...Also teamed with<br />

Lang to stay in front of Dumervil on Rodgers’ 50-yard TD pass to Nelson<br />

on the following play, the offense’s first TD of the game...Also worked with<br />

Lang to execute a <strong>com</strong>bination block on DT Kevin Vickerson on the backside<br />

of Starks’ game-long 22-yard run early in the fourth quarter.<br />

at Atlanta Falcons (10/9): Started the game, but sustained a hamstring<br />

injury on the offense’s second possession and did not return.<br />

<strong>vs</strong>. St. Louis Rams (10/16): Inactive due to the hamstring injury, missing his<br />

first contest since <strong>Week</strong> 8 of 2009.<br />

at Minnesota Vikings (10/23) - <strong>vs</strong>. Chicago Bears (12/25): Inactive (hamstring,<br />

back).<br />

18 Randall Cobb, WR, Rookie, Kentucky<br />

2011 Season: A dynamic talent who has made significant contributions<br />

both in the return game and as a WR in his rookie season... Was named<br />

a Pro Bowl alternate as a return man after serving as the team’s primary<br />

kickoff and punt returner this season...Is No. 2 in the <strong>NFL</strong> in kickoff return<br />

average through 15 games at 27.7 yards per attempt, having taken back<br />

34 kicks for 941 yards and a TD...Has returned 26 punts for 295 yards<br />

(11.3 avg.) and a TD, ranking No. 8 in the <strong>NFL</strong> in punt return average...<br />

Continues to create a role for himself amongst a deep, experienced receiving<br />

corps and has collected 25 catches for 375 yards (15.0 avg.) and a<br />

TD on offense...Became the first rookie in franchise history to record both<br />

a kickoff and punt return for a TD in a single season when he returned a<br />

punt 80 yards for a score in <strong>Week</strong> 10 <strong>vs</strong>. Minnesota...With the punt return,<br />

also became the first rookie since the AFL-<strong>NFL</strong> merger in 1970 to record<br />

both a 100-plus yard kickoff return and an 80-plus yard punt return in the<br />

same season.<br />

<strong>vs</strong>. New Orleans Saints (9/8): Exploded onto the <strong>NFL</strong> landscape with a memorable<br />

performance in his first professional game...Made two catches for<br />

35 yards and returned two kickoffs for 135 yards...Offensive performance<br />

was highlighted by a 32-yard catch-and-run TD from QB Aaron Rodgers<br />

late in the first quarter that staked Green Bay to a 21-7 lead...On the TD,<br />

admitted to having run the wrong route, a slant against S Roman Harper<br />

that saw him catch the ball over the middle at the 26-yard line before knifing<br />

up the seam...Put a move on S Malcolm Jenkins at the 15 and went<br />

aerial from the 4-yard line into the end zone, be<strong>com</strong>ing the first Packers<br />

WR to catch a TD pass in his first career game since Javon Walker did so<br />

on Sept. 8, 2002...On his KR-TD, caught the ball near the back of the end<br />

zone and advanced it beyond the 20-yard line where he spun out of a hit<br />

by CB Leigh Torrance...Nearly lost his footing but was held up by teammate<br />

FB John Kuhn...Fully returned to his feet and took off, going the rest<br />

of the way untouched for the score...Play tied former New England Patriot<br />

Ellis Hobbs’ (Sept. 9, 2007) <strong>NFL</strong> record for the longest kickoff return in<br />

league history...Became the first player since Bill Bowman of the <strong>Detroit</strong><br />

Lions on Sept. 26, 1954, (100-yard KO, 9-yard recept.) to score two TDs,<br />

one of them a kickoff return TD, in his <strong>NFL</strong> debut...Also marked Green<br />

Bay’s first KR-TD since CB Allen Rossum had one on Nov. 19, 2000, <strong>vs</strong>.<br />

Indianapolis (92 yards) and set the franchise record for distance previously<br />

held by Al Carmichael (106, <strong>vs</strong>. Chicago Bears, Oct. 7, 1956)...Became the<br />

first Green Bay player to have both a KR-TD and touchdown reception in<br />

the same game since Wuert Engelmann on Oct. 25, 1931...At 21 years,<br />

<strong>17</strong> days, also became the youngest <strong>NFL</strong> player to return a kickoff for a<br />

TD since the Chicago Bears’ Andy Livingston did so on Dec. 13, 1964 (20<br />

years, 53 days).<br />

at Carolina Panthers (9/18): Had two catches for 25 yards (12.5 avg.) in<br />

a reserve role on offense and was limited to just two kickoff returns for<br />

48 yards (24.0 avg.) on special teams...Fumbled his first kickoff return of<br />

the game after slamming into the back of teammate TE Ryan Taylor after<br />

an 18-yard return in the first quarter...Had a 30-yard return in the fourth<br />

quarter on his only other opportunity.
