LIONS AT PACKERS - WEEK 17
ON ALL CYLINDERS
For the sixth consecutive season, the Packers find themselves in familiar
territory as one of the most productive offenses in the league.
accomplished that feat in seven straight games at any point in a season.
Green Bay is the only team in the league to post at least 315 yards
of offense in every game this season. Dating back to last season, the
Packers have registered 315-plus yards of offense in 21 of their
last 23 regular-season games.
The Packers rank No. 3 in the NFL this season with an average of
PLENTY OF 70-YARDERS
On the Packers’ opening drive of the second half at Minnesota in Week 7,
QB Aaron Rodgers connected with wide-open WR Greg Jennings for
a 79-yard TD. For Rodgers, it was his third straight game with a TD pass
of at least 70 yards.
According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Rodgers became just the third
quarterback since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger to throw a 70-yard
TD pass in three consecutive games, joining Cowboys QB Craig Morton
(Oct. 25-Nov. 8, 1970) and Saints QB Drew Brees (Dec. 12-26, 2004).
Rodgers leads the NFL with his four passes of 70-plus yards this
season, and his 10 completions of 70-plus yards since taking over as
the starter in 2008 also lead the NFL:
