2001-Dec 2004 PT. Fugro GeoSolutions Indonesia – General Manager
PT. Thales GeoSolutions Indonesia – General Manager.
PT Racal Survey Indonesia – General Manager.
He was assigned as General Manager of PT Racal Survey
Indonesia after it took over the asset of PT Pacific Geohydro early
2001. The company is a subsidiary of Racal Survey Group Ltd, which
is the biggest survey in the world at that time. During the
employment he had supervised the transition of the company from a
local agency into a full foreign joint venture company. He developed
the Indonesian operation into a fully independent operation, reporting
to the regional center at Singapore. As well as expanding traditional
services in offshore survey services, he also developed new areas of
business activity such as fleet control/ vessel management, Platform
security and Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) services.
When Thales, a French multinational company, took over the global
operations of Racal Survey of the UK in 2002, he was retained as
general manager of the Indonesian joint venture operations. The
activities of the company remained the same as under PT Racal
Survey Indonesia, in the provision of oilfield services to a range of
changed into PT Thales GeoSolutions Indonesia and the number
certified survey company in Indonesia.
He was again retained as General Manager of the Indonesian entity
when Fugro Group, a Dutch company, took over Thales GeoSolution
Group world wide at end 2003. His major task following the
acquisition was to restructure and merge Fugro Survey entities in
Indonesia into one single company. After a successful completion of
the merger and the formation of PT Fugro Indonesia, he decided to
pursue his own business interest and resigned from the company at
end 2004.
