of dairy cattle; identify dairy feeds and forages; and take tests on dairy<br />

pricing, milk quality; dairy reproduction management, equipment and<br />

at all times during the show. <strong>All</strong> animals<br />

must be registered in their respective herd books.<br />

FAX copies of registration papers will be accepted if<br />

sent directly from the National Breed Association to<br />

Show Management and received no later than 5:00<br />

p.m. the day before the breed show. Any dual registered<br />

animals must show in the same breed<br />

shows if the animal is to be shown in the respective<br />

youth and open shows.<br />

Ayrshire – <strong>All</strong> animals exhibiting in a national Ayrshire<br />

show must be recorded as at least 87% purebred<br />

Ayrshire on the registration certificate. Dual<br />

registered animals must show in the same breed<br />

shows if the animal is to be shown in the respective<br />

youth and open shows.<br />

Brown Swiss – Standard Registration Certificate<br />

which is white with a green border is issued for Registered<br />

Brown Swiss Females and Certified Identity<br />

Enrolled Females (CIE). Brown Swiss step II Identity<br />

Enrollment (IE) animals which have a green Registration<br />

paper with a black border may also be shown.<br />

Guernsey – Registered Guernsey females and females<br />

in step four of the Genetic Recovery Program<br />

are eligible to show. Step four females have a “GR”<br />

prefix in their name. No other prefixes are eligible.<br />

Holstein – Holsteins with 87% registered Holstein<br />

Ancestry (RHA) and<br />

above are eligible to<br />

be submitted, accompanied by the proper fees.<br />

7. <strong>All</strong> show entries must comply with the eligibility<br />

regulations of the breed’s national show policy.<br />

8. The Superintendent of Cattle and his staff will<br />

use all reasonable diligence to prevent errors or improper<br />

substitutions of animals. <strong>All</strong> entries must be<br />

checked and identified with a registration certificate<br />

by a Breed Superintendent prior to showing. Any<br />

animal which cannot be identified by means of color<br />

markings or ear tattoo will be disqualified. Management<br />

invites the cooperation of Breed Registry Organization<br />

personnel and exhibitors in preventing errors<br />

in entering or in the showing of animals.<br />

9. In the show ring competition, the decision of<br />

the judge is final in all cases, except where an error<br />

or misrepresentation is discovered after the placings<br />

have been announced but before the end of the<br />

Show. In such cases, the final decision will be made<br />

by the Show Manager or his representative.<br />

ENTRIES<br />

10. DEADLINES AND FEES - <strong>All</strong> Open Show and<br />

Premier Junior Show only entries must be made on<br />

forms provided by the <strong>All</strong>-<strong>American</strong> <strong>Dairy</strong> Show and<br />

forms must be completed according to instructions.<br />

Entries postmarked or computer time stamped (online<br />

registration) on or before August 19 will be accepted<br />

at $30.00 per animal. Entries postmarked or<br />

computer time stamped (on-line registration) August<br />

20 through August 31 will be accepted at $40.00 per<br />

animal. Postage meter date not accepted. Jr. 3 year<br />

old and older entries should have a production record.<br />

See Rule 25, page 12. An entry fee is not<br />

required for group classes but each animal must be<br />

entered in an open, individual class. Entries may be<br />

registered on-line at www.allamerican.state.pa.us.<br />

State Herd entries only will be accepted prior to the<br />

completion of the specific breed show. <strong>All</strong> other<br />

group class entries must be made by 12 Noon,<br />

Monday, September 20 to be included in the<br />

showring catalog.<br />

11. <strong>All</strong> Premier Junior and Open Show entries to<br />

be shown in both shows, must be made on forms<br />

provided by the <strong>All</strong>-<strong>American</strong> <strong>Dairy</strong> Show, and forms<br />

must be completed according to instructions. Entries<br />

postmarked or computer time stamped (on-line<br />

registration) on or before August 19 will be accepted<br />

at $40.00 per animal. Entries postmarked or computer<br />

time stamped (on-line registration) August 20<br />

through August 31 will be accepted at $50.00 per<br />

animal. Postage meter date is not acceptable. Jr. 3<br />

year-old and older entries should have a production<br />

record. See rule 19, page 12. An entry fee is not<br />

required for group classes but each animal must be<br />

entered in an open, individual class. Entries may be<br />

registered on-line.<br />

LATE ENTRIES<br />

12. Open entries and Open and Junior entries<br />

postmarked after August 31, 2011, and received by<br />

3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 18 and entries hand<br />

delivered to the cattle superintendent by 3:00 p.m.<br />

Sunday, September 18, will be accepted at $125.00<br />

per animal. Entries received or hand delivered after<br />

3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 18, and up to 24<br />

hours prior to the starting time of the breed show,<br />

will be accepted at $225.00 per animal.<br />

Youth show ONLY entries postmarked after August<br />

31, 2011 and received by 3:00 p.m. Sunday and<br />

Youth Show Only entries hand delivered to the cattle<br />

Superintendent by 3:00 p.m. Sunday September 18<br />

will be accepted at $55.00.<br />

An animal entered in only the Open or only in the<br />

Junior show at the time of entry (August 31 and before)<br />

will be accepted at an additional $55 to enter<br />

the additional show, Youth or Open, during the late<br />

entry fee period, September 1 through twenty-four<br />

(24) hours prior to the starting time of the breed<br />

show.<br />

13. Pennsylvania Holstein Fall Championship Show-<br />

Holsteins owned by Pennsylvania exhibitors will be<br />

automatically entered in the Pennsylvania Holstein<br />

Fall Championship Show. No additional entry or entry<br />

fee is required. Exhibitors competing only in the<br />

PA Holstein Fall Championship Show must comply<br />

with all rules of the <strong>All</strong>-<strong>American</strong> <strong>Dairy</strong> Show except<br />

those of cattle release. The Pennsylvania Holstein<br />

Association Fall Championship Show will utilize ultrasound<br />

testing. Enforcement procedures for violations<br />

of the ultra-sound testing for the Pennsylvania<br />

Holstein Association Fall Championship Show will be<br />

left to the discretion of the Pennsylvania Holstein Association.<br />

Any Red and White animal that is dual<br />

registered will not be automatically entered into the<br />

Pennsylvania Holstein Fall Championship Show. An<br />

additional entry form must be submitted with the<br />

proper fees.<br />
