4. <strong>All</strong> exhibitors (open and Junior) must be members of RWDCA.<br />
Red & White Breed Special<br />
NASCO Type and Production – Trophy to be awarded at each<br />
National Show to the exhibitor of the cow with the highest actual<br />
305 day or less official DHI record. The cow must stand in the<br />
top 5 if less than 20 in class or top 20% if more than 20 in class.<br />
Dry cows are not eligible for this award. The official DHI record<br />
must be provided by the owner with substantiating evidence<br />
(the official DHI record report form or a statement giving the<br />
record, signed by the official DHI supervisor) when the entries<br />
are checked by the Red & White staff. In case of tie, the tying<br />
records will be converted to an ECM basis with high record being<br />
the winner.<br />
The Red & White <strong>Dairy</strong> Cattle Association is sponsoring<br />
the 1 st place ribbon for Best Bred & Owned in each female class.<br />
Total Performance Winner is calculated on points as follows:<br />
(1) Points on placing plus points on production 305-day production<br />
(milk lbs.) 1 st - 50; 2 nd - 45; 3 rd - 40; 4 th - 35; 5 th - 30;<br />
6 th - 25; 7 th - 20; 8 th - 15; 9 th - 10; 10 th - 5. (2) <strong>All</strong> production<br />
entries supplied from show catalog or DHI sheets to show chairman<br />
before start of show. Production regardless of age will be<br />
considered as one class and points awarded accordingly. (3) 25<br />
additional points awarded if exhibitor is breeder of animal. (4) If<br />
tie exists, lactation factor shall be applied with 10 points awarded<br />
for each lactation completed. (5) Purse of $100 from a sponsor<br />
and plaque from RWDCA.<br />
