AIM<br />
To identify racehorses who make useful and suitable riding horses. The horses entered in this<br />
class should demonstrate quality, substance, bone, correct conformation, presence and true<br />
action.<br />
This class may include racehorses of hack, riding horse or hunter types with the best of type<br />
being judged the winner.<br />
RULES<br />
This class is open to thoroughbred horses only. Horses entered in this class must have been<br />
named and returned in training and/or have raced (including point-to-pointed). This class is<br />
restricted to horses bred in Ireland only.<br />
JUDGING<br />
To be judged on the ride, manners and conformation. Judges may ride some of the exhibits and<br />
then may require individual shows from as many as time allows. The individual show, if required,<br />
must not exceed 1.5 minutes and to include the walk, trot, canter, simple change at canter, rein<br />
back, strike off on required led, gallop on, halt and stand still. There will be a strong emphasis on<br />
manners, ride and training.<br />
Judge will be reminded to confine their winners to riding horse type.<br />
CLASS<br />
55 THOROUGHBRED, MARE or GELDING, 4 years old and over. To be ridden by<br />
riders who have attained their 14th birthday by 1st January 2010.<br />
