EGGS<br />
A Novice is a entrant who has had less than one year’s egging experience and has never won a<br />
prize in any class.<br />
The Judge will have the right to refrain from awarding any placing should the exhibit, in the<br />
Judge’s opinion, not be considered worthy of placing. The judges decision is final.<br />
453 UNDER 10 YEARS OF AGE - A decorated egg of any size or design. Entrants must<br />
add date of birth.<br />
454 UNDER 10 YEARS OF AGE - A hand painted egg of any size without accessories.<br />
Entrants must add date of birth.<br />
455 BETWEEN 10 & 18 YEARS OF AGE - A decorated egg of any size or design.<br />
Entrants must add date of birth.<br />
456 BETWEEN 10 & 18 YEARS OF AGE - A hand painted egg of any size without<br />
accessories. Entrants must add date of birth.<br />
457 NOVICE - Any size or design of egg. Entrants must have less than 18 months<br />
experience and must never have won a prize in any class.<br />
458 ELEGANT - A goose egg of classic design with minimum of cutwork (no more than<br />
three cuts) and minimum of trims.<br />
459 PURELY PLEASANT - A goose egg designed and decorated to lie between Elegant<br />
and Elaborate classes.<br />
460 ELABORATELY DECORATED - A goose egg of ornate design. May include filigree<br />
work and/or heavy trims and decorations.<br />
461 LARGER THAN GOOSE - A decorated egg of a larger size, e.g. ostrich, emu or rhea.<br />
Any design or technique (other than clock or egg with Diorama as basis of design).<br />
462 CLOCK - A decorated egg of any size incorporating a clock movement.<br />
463 MECHANICAL - An egg or combination of eggs a part of which moves and is<br />
operated by mechanical or manual means such as clockwork, music box, motor or<br />
battery driven, brass rods, pulleys, threads, sprindle, etc.<br />
464 MINIATURE - Any design or small egg, overall height and width not to exceed 2<br />
inches (to include stand, base and all trims).<br />
465 FOLK ART - An egg of any size, making use of natural products or may be dyed,<br />
scratch carved, Ukrainian, etc.<br />
466 HAND-PAINTED - An egg of any size, cut or uncut, without accessories, handpainting<br />
forming the basis for the design.<br />
467 NOVELTY - An egg of any size that does not reasonably fit into any other class, e.g.<br />
lamp, tea-set or is novel in design.<br />
468 DIORAMA - Any size of egg into which a 3D setting has been placed. May have one<br />
or more openings.<br />
