Pigs competing in Classes 171-182 (inclusive) must be birth notified to the BPA.<br />

See Regulations 77 & 78 regarding Vaccinations and Pedigree details.<br />

Classes of pigs with less than three exhibits may be amalgamated with the nearest of similar<br />

relevant class.<br />

The pig section will run under BPA rules.<br />

Pedigree details for publication in the catalogue being advised on 8th April 2011 by 5.00pm.<br />

If any exhibitor is interested in showing senior sows for demonstration purposes please contact<br />

Karen Hughes before entry close so arrangements can be made to have these pigs penned.<br />

Pigs can return home to the farm after the <strong>Show</strong> is over. If pigs are required to go for slaughter<br />

exhibitors should make their own arrangements for these pigs.<br />

British Pig Association medals and cash prizes are offered only to British Pig Association<br />

Members.<br />

BRITISH PIG ASSOCIATION YOUNG HANDLERS COMPETITION 2011<br />

A Grand Final for Young Handlers will be held at Hatfield Country <strong>Show</strong> in August<br />

The Final will consist of two age classes. Junior Young Handlers 8 to 12 years of age and Senior<br />

Young Handlers 13 to 17 years of age.<br />

<strong>Balmoral</strong> <strong>Show</strong> is a qualifier for the BPA PIG OF THE YEAR COMPETITION. The final will be<br />

held at the Great Yorkshire <strong>Show</strong> in July 2011<br />
