CATTLE<br />
JERSEY<br />
All animals must be entered in the Herd Book of the Jersey Cattle Society of the United Kingdom.<br />
The Jersey Cattle Society of the United Kingdom <strong>Show</strong>ing Rules (latest) will apply to all exhibitors<br />
and exhibits in the Jersey section.<br />
Exhibitors shall familiarise themselves with the various breed society rules which apply to their<br />
breed section as they relate to showing, particularly regards eligibility to enter, exhibitor bred<br />
status and show ring ethics.<br />
CLASS<br />
587 HEIFER, born on or after 1st September 2009.<br />
588 HEIFER, not in milk, born on or after 1st September 2008, and on or before 31st<br />
August 2009.<br />
589 HEIFER, in milk, calved under 3 years of age.<br />
590 COW, in calf but not in milk, born prior to 1st September 2008.<br />
591 COW, in milk, having had two calvings.<br />
592 Cow in milk, having had three or more calvings.<br />
593 PAIR OF ANIMALS, bona fide the property of one exhibitor and entered in the<br />
Classes for which they are eligible.<br />
Specials<br />
S308 CHAMPION PRIZES, £100 and £50 - for the Champion and Reserve Champion<br />
Jersey. Presented by the Society.<br />
S309 THE BARBOUR PERPETUAL CHALLENGE CUP - for the best Jersey animal.<br />
Presented by the Rt. Hon Sir J Milne Barbour Bart DL LLD.<br />
S310 ROSETTE and PRIZE CARD - for the best Jersey Cow or Heifer, registered in the<br />
Herd Book and bred by exhibitor, who is a current member of the Jersey Cattle<br />
Society. Presented by the Jersey Cattle Society of the United Kingdom.<br />
S311 THE HUGH MOORE PERPETUAL CHALLENGE BOWL - for the best Jersey Heifer<br />
in Classes 588 and 589, heifer and her dam bred by exhibitor. Presented by Mrs M<br />
S Moore and family, in memory of the late Hugh Moore.<br />
S312 SILVER PERPETUAL CHALLENGE CUP - for the best pair of Jersey females, any<br />
age, by the same sire, not necessarily the property of one exhibitor. Presented by<br />
Mr Ashley Fleming.<br />
HOLSTEIN<br />
All animals must be entered in the Herd Book of Holstein UK or classes B and C of the<br />
Supplementary Register.<br />
The Holstein UK Bye Laws and <strong>Show</strong>ing Rules (latest) will apply to all exhibitors and exhibits in<br />
the Holstein section.<br />
