Children’s ponies<br />
CHILDREN’S PONIES<br />
Ponies entered in Classes 56-61 may not be entered in any other Classes.<br />
Ponies not in possession of a JMB current measurement certificate issued in Northern Ireland or<br />
a current SJAI or IPS measurement certificate or a certificate issued or approved by the FEI or<br />
issued by a National Federation affiliated to the FEI or a certificate issued by a Society or Scheme<br />
approved by such National Federation will be measured by a veterinary surgeon on duty before<br />
entering the judging area. See Regulation 107.<br />
RIDDEN PONIES<br />
Ponies entered in Classes 58-61 will not be eligible to also enter in Classes 62-65 and will only be<br />
required in the <strong>Show</strong>grounds on Friday, 13th May. There will be no loose boxes available for the<br />
use of competitors.<br />
Entries will be limited to the first 20 received in each class.<br />
All children with ponies entered in Classes 58-61 may be asked to unsaddle, saddle and lead their<br />
ponies unassisted.<br />
All ponies in Classes 56 & 57 to be shown in snaffle bridle i.e. single ring snaffle.<br />
Ponies entered in class 58 will not be eligible for the Ridden Pony Championship and may not be<br />
entered in any other class.<br />
<strong>Balmoral</strong> <strong>Show</strong> is a Qualifier for the Ponies (UK) Championship to be held at Newark & Notts<br />
<strong>Show</strong>grounds in August 2011. The highest placed exhibit not already qualified within the first six<br />
places will qualify in class 56-61.<br />
CLASS<br />
56 PONY, MARE or GELDING, [Lead Rein] 4 years old and over, not exceeding<br />
123cms. Riders not to have attained their 7th birthday before 1st January in<br />
the current year. Ponies must be led by persons aged 16 years and over and<br />
should be on a loose rein and will be required to trot. All competitors in Class<br />
56 will receive a Rosette. Riders in this class may not ride in any other class at<br />
this <strong>Show</strong>.<br />
57 PONY, MARE or GELDING, [First Ridden] 4 years old and over, not exceeding<br />
123cms, suitable for and to be ridden by children who have not attained their<br />
10th birthday before 1st January in the current year. No cantering allowed<br />
except for individual performances. Please note that Riders in Class 57 cannot<br />
ride in any other class except class 56.<br />
