Where an Aboriginal Land Claim is current over
a TSR, Lands will continue with the land
assessment pending a decision and negotiation
with ALC.

The Livestock Health & Pest Authority (LHPA)
is yet to determine which reserves are to be
retained.

consideration the assessment and the principles of
the Crown Lands Act, including social, cultural,
environmental and economic considerations.
Crown lands will retain and manage land with
these values. Further explanation of the allocation

DECCW has provided Lands with a list of those
TSRs that are suitable for addition to the DECC
Estate. Generally these parcels will be of high
conservation & reservation value, will be inholdings
or within 100m of an existing National
Park or Reserve and will not contain other Crown
lands values, significant for retention as a Crown
reserve.

Forests NSW will be referenced regarding
Crown Timber rights.

Parcels with high conservation and/or
catchment values (NC1 & NC2) will be maintained
as a Crown reserve for Environmental Protection,
unless negotiated with DECCW.

Uses include community halls, sporting use &
facilities, water supply, bird watching,
walking/other tracks and trails (horse and bike
riding) & bushfire infrastructure.

Any reserves currently gazetted for Travelling
Stock purposes will have this reservation purpose
maintained.

Examples of tenure purposes include
sustainable grazing, ecotourism, extractive
industries (quarries), seed collection and bee
keeping.
10 Criterion for disposal:
⇒ High socio-economic values (potential
development); &
⇒ Small in area, i.e. < 4ha; &
⇒ Poor stock route or landscape connectivity; &
⇒ No significant environmental, cultural/social
values; &
⇒ Sale price to reflect best use
