HELICOIL ® plus thread technology
HELICOIL ® plus thread inserts create heavy-duty connections, especially in low strength materials. HELICOIL ® plus thread repair is used
for all metal materials and furthermore, its use in many plastics and composites is common practice. The optimised design with reduced
diameter of the first winding substantially simplifies the installation of HELICOIL ® plus. The HELICOIL ® plus thread insert is positioned
like a screw and is screwed in. It is therefore not necessary to use a tool sleeve and the prestressing cartridge in it. It is screwed in with
a built in spindle only, which is no larger than a threading tap. The built-in depth can be visually monitored, therefore there is no need to
set a depth stop.
