Parting tips of this type have been sold since 1978. There are numerous manufacturers of cutting inserts/tips and
holder tools. These tools are used in different ways on the market depending on the manufacturer. The tools are
apparently compatible; but in fact they do not precisely fit together so that technically perfect connection between the
parting insert and seat of the tip is coincidental and the performance of the tools is subject to large fluctuations.
Fits perfectly describes a new technology which establishes a precise connection between the hard metal cutting
inserts (tips) and the corresponding tip seats.
“Fits perfectly”:
• prevents “wandering” of the tip in the tip seat
• reduces vibrations
• increases the stiffness of the whole tool
• achieves long and uniform tool lives
• produces clean and straight parting off surfaces
• creates process security for parting off
