Tom Leader Studio is a landscape architectural practice rooted in the craft of
construction and in the spirit of collaboration. While the studio seeks a fresh,
often alternative approach—experimenting with process, methods, and materials—

Each landscape is an ecosystem which yields important data to inform the project.
Landscape architecture is a social practice with a time-honored design process
for which there is no substitute. For any given project, it is necessary to know the
context and the community, to know where to apply effort and where to yield, and to
develop ways to be heard and ways to listen—to the team and to the land.
