TEEN <strong>CAMPS</strong><br />

Counselor in Training (CIT)<br />

The CIT program is a fun and exciting experience for teenagers<br />

who love kids and are 13 to 14 years <strong>of</strong> age. The program<br />

emphasizes leadership, teamwork, community service,<br />

responsibility, safety and initiative. Camp Counselors and<br />

Directors mentor and prepare the CIT’s for all the skills<br />

needed to become successful Camp Counselors. In order<br />

to participate, all applicants must complete an application by<br />

3/30. Applications can be obtained at the Lucie Stern front<br />

desk, or by calling 650-463-4900. Interviews for acceptance<br />

into the program will be conducted on 4/24 & 4/25 between<br />

3pm to 6pm. If accepted into the program, then participants<br />

will need to register for both the MANDATORY training session<br />

as well as all assigned CIT sessions. Registrations must<br />

be done in person at Lucie Stern Community Center.<br />

Camp JIVE<br />

Middle School students only! Great for students attending<br />

summer school. Camp is located on summer school<br />

campus! Participants will meet new friends, swim at the<br />

Pool, have special events, play sports, create art projects<br />

and more. Our camp is a great balance <strong>of</strong> curiosity-driven<br />

free time and activities that incorporate both structured and<br />

open-ended, self-directed learning. And, <strong>of</strong> course, we make<br />

it fun! This is definitely the coolest camp in town! Hurry<br />

Camp Fusion<br />

End your summer with FUN and EXCITMENT at Camp<br />

Fusion. Participants will work in teams, enjoy group games,<br />

create arts and craft projects and have time to play pool, air<br />

hockey and other fun activities. Teens will also swim, take<br />

day hikes and engage in cooking projects. Each week <strong>of</strong><br />

Camp Fusion is a different theme and a different adventure!<br />

This camps brings a little <strong>of</strong> everything to one place, and is<br />

sure to be a great way to end your<br />

Teen X-treme Camp<br />

Do you like the outdoors Do you like to explore the land,<br />

hike the trails and sleep under the stars Teen X-treme<br />

Camp is two week long adventure at Foothills Park, where<br />

campers will take long adventure hikes, build shelters, go<br />

fishing, play games, learn skills that can be used in the great<br />

outdoors. An overnight the first week is not to be missed!<br />

If you think you’re up to tame the great outdoors, then join<br />

Teen X-treme Camp, and get ready for an adventure you will<br />

not soon forget. Daily transportation is provided to Foothills<br />

Park.<br />

Freshmen Leadership Corps-YCS<br />

Ready for High School Spend two weeks building leadership<br />

skills, meeting new friends, and helping create change<br />

in the community! Be involved in a service project in the<br />

community, plan activities to teach younger campers and<br />

use media to help capture highlights <strong>of</strong> the YCS summer<br />

camps. Have fun while spending a day at Great America and<br />

celebrating our last day with a cool pool party!<br />

Session 3: July 22-August 2, 2013<br />

Summer Of Service (SOS) – YCS<br />

Want to make a difference Join SOS and develop leadership<br />

skills, meet new friends and have fun while helping out<br />

in the community. Each day campers will go out in teams<br />

to local school, senior centers, food pantries and parks for<br />

service. Have fun while learning how to tackle community<br />

issues. We also enjoy one day at a highlight field trip and<br />

a celebration including a pool party! For more information,<br />
