Summer Theatre Academy –<br />
Three-week session<br />
An action-packed theatre day camp taught by working theatre<br />
pr<strong>of</strong>essionals. Each morning, campers rotate between<br />
music, dance, drama and at least one technical theatre class.<br />
In the afternoon, the campers create unique performance<br />
pieces. Guided by their teachers, students share their work<br />
in performances that take place on the Saturday and Sunday<br />
after camp concludes at 2pm. Participants may register for<br />
one or both sessions and are accepted on a first come basis.<br />
Participants should bring a bag lunch.<br />
Please note, audition for placement will take place on first<br />
day few days <strong>of</strong> Academy. Space is limited, register early!<br />

Singers age 12- 18 can benefit enormously from this one-on-one<br />
instruction time with trained opera singer Patricia Urbano. Learn<br />
techniques for everything from classical to musical theatre to<br />
contemporary pop singing. This all encompassing workshop is<br />
great for students preparing for an audition, perfecting songs<br />
for a performance, or for those just wishing to strengthen their<br />
singing voice. Please call the Children’s Theatre for an appointment<br />

From Storyboard to Screen<br />
Workshop for middle school and high school students. Students<br />
will learn the fundamentals <strong>of</strong> filmmaking with introductions to<br />
screenwriting, directing techniques, production, and cinematography.<br />
By mid-session, students will begin production <strong>of</strong> a short<br />
film. The class will end with an introduction to post-production<br />
classes in editing. Students may take multiple sessions.<br />

Teen Theatre Lab –<br />
Two-week session<br />
Teen Theatre Lab is an acting practicum taught by working<br />
theatre pr<strong>of</strong>essionals. The theatre lab will focus on developing<br />
a solid foundation for all theatrical endeavors through<br />
acting and improv workshops, monologue and scene work,<br />
and vocal and dance classes. The students will workshop a<br />
performance piece to present to parents and friends on the<br />
final day <strong>of</strong> class. Participants may register for one or both<br />
sessions and are accepted on a first come basis. Participants<br />
should bring a bag lunch. Space is limited, register early!<br />
