Junior Lifeguarding Camp
Do you want to be a lifeguard As a Junior Lifeguard, you
learn the necessary skills to become member of our aquatics
team at the age of 15. This program offers youth ages
13-14 an opportunity to learn quality water safety techniques
in a fun and engaging environment with Pool Managers
and Assistant Pool Managers as mentors. The program
emphasizes respect for self, others, and the aquatic environment.
Focus is given to personal safety, rescue techniques,
water safety instruction, improved physical conditioning and
fun. In order to participate, all applicants must complete and
submit an application by 3/31. Applications can be obtained
at the Lucie Stern front desk or by calling 650-463-4900.
After submitting an application, applicants will be contacted
for interviews scheduled on 4/20 and 4/21 between 3-6pm.
If accepted into the program participants will then need to
submit a registration form for the MANDATORY training session
and all assigned program sessions. No registrations are
to be submitted prior to being accepted into the program.

Singers age 12- 18 can benefit enormously from this oneon-one
instruction time with trained opera singer Patricia
Urbano. Learn techniques for everything from classical
to musical theatre to contemporary pop singing. This all
encompassing workshop is great for students preparing for
an audition, perfecting songs for a performance, or for those
just wishing to strengthen their singing voice. Please call

From Storyboard to Screen
Workshop for middle school and high school students.
Students will learn the fundamentals of filmmaking with
introductions to screenwriting, directing techniques, production,
and cinematography. By mid-session, students will
begin production of a short film. The class will end with an
introduction to post-production classes in editing. Students
may take one or both sessions.
