It’s been a brand new start. We bet you notice some
changes - new facilities, new location of some offices,
and new faces around the campus. You have participated
in school activities that are all geared towards maximum
students’ participation. Behind every successes
of many school activities and programs are dedicated
administrators. We know that you already encountered
most of them in the school. But, we’re quite sure that
many of you don’t know them that much, so there’s a
need for most of you to be acquainted with some facts
about them. We have conducted an indirect interview
about them in the hope that this can answer some of
your query.
BR. CRISANTO MORENO, FSC
It’s not new to Br. Moreno, to work with great responsibility
and a wide range of leadership. Having been a president in the
De La Salle- Lipa and La Salle College- Antipolo, Br. Moreno
only proves how he lived up the words of Saint John Baptist De
La Salle. And for that, it’s a great honor and privilege to have
him here in LSU. Br. Cris finished several Bachelor’s degrees
in Science, Arts, Engineering and Technology, and Education.
He is also a holder of several Master’s degrees. He has also
served the Lasallian community as a Professor of Math and
Engineering at DLSU-Manila, Dean of Technology in the same
school, and Construction for Mission at De La Salle Catholic
University in Manado, Indonesia. Being in the position, Assistant
for Special Projects, Br. Cris felt happy and useful to share
what he has in mind for the betterment of the school. Br. Cris
wants to help LSU as it progresses to become a center of good
tertiary education in Mindanao. Moreover, he also wishes to
assist in anyway he could be of help particularly in Design and
Maintenance of facilities. Though the entire community does
not know Br. Cris yet, he’s still thankful for the warm welcome
he received.
BR. ALLAN BUENAVISTA, FSC
He was a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Social Science with some Masteral units from
the University of St. La Salle and De La Salle University. Br. Allan, the newly appointed
Principal of the Integrated School and Specialized Schools was formerly serving the
sub-district of Myanmar. He has been serving there from 2007 until 2009. He experienced
being the Postulancy Director and trained young men to become De La Salle
Brothers. At the Lasallian Center, he taught English. Br. Allan has a lot of plans in his
administration such as improving students’ performance in the field of Mathematics and
Science and strengthening the Outreach Program of the School. Moreover, he wants
to empower students to come up with activities that develop their leadership skills and
execute the plans presented at the start of the school year (Operational Plan). Even if
Br. Allan has many plans on his administration, he also has his priority. The first thing
he has in mind is to follow up and carry out the PAASCU’s recommendations. His few
months of work enable him to feel welcomed by the students and the teachers. Br. Allan
wants to encourage the students to make the best out of their Lasallian Education.
On the other hand, teachers should think of academic excellence that the students will
get, he further stressed. He also believes that the passion to do something not only for
ourselves but also for others must be developed among Lasallians.
