13 Statement of Directors’ Responsibilities
Statement of Directors’ Responsibilities in respect of the Audited Financial Statements
Directors are required by the Companies Act, 1965 to prepare financial statements for each financial year which have been made out in accordance
with the applicable approved accounting standards in Malaysia and give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Group and the Company at
the end of the financial year and of the results and the cash flows of the Group and the Company for the financial year then ended.
In preparing those financial statements, the Directors have:-
• adopted suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;
• made judgements and estimates that are prudent and reasonable;
• ensured applicable accounting standards have been followed. Material departures, if any, are disclosed and explained in the financial statements; and
• prepared the financial statements on the going concern basis as the Directors have a reasonable expectation, having made enquiries, that the Group
and Company have adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future.
The Directors are responsible for keeping proper accounting records, which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Group
and Company to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Companies Act, 1965. The Directors are also responsible for
safeguarding the assets of the Group and Company and hence, for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
