Process Value<br />
Economic Potential<br />
The gross return in U.S. dollars per acre for each trial entry was calcul<strong>at</strong>ed using a l<strong>at</strong>e-harvest mock<br />
processing contract. Process-market values are based on criteria and assumptions similar to th<strong>at</strong><br />
used by WA pot<strong>at</strong>o processors (see “Process Market Value-Methods” in front of book). Production<br />
costs per acre were not applied. Contract assumptions are listed <strong>at</strong> front of book under “Process<br />
Market Value - Methods.” Figure 1, below, shows the gross value of all trial entries when compared<br />
against a standard reference variety.<br />
