Conn. The Sandersons have three
children. Peter, a Wheaton (Ill.) College
and Bethel Seminary graduate, works as
an actuary for Aetna in Hartford, Conn.
Sherry Sanderson Blair ’02, who has a
master’s in nursing from Yale, works
as a pediatric nurse at Connecticut
Children’s Medical Center in Hartford.
Brandt, a Worcester Polytechnic Institute
graduate, is a math teacher at Simsbury
(Conn.) High School. The Sandersons
have four grandchildren: Noah James, 3;
Zephra Katheryn, 2½; Joshua Philip, 1;
and Samuel Joseph, 10 months.
Tim Lillie attended an open seminar
for an English class studying Vietnam
War literature.
Roger Weinreb (rlweinreb@
gmail.com) relocated from BatteriesPlus
in Woburn, Mass., where he was
manager, to the store in Natick, Mass.,
four miles from his Wellesley residence.
Roger’s wife, Didi, returned to
coaching the girls’ varsity tennis team at
Rivers School in Weston and continues
as tennis director at Wayland Swim and
Tennis Club. Son Max spent a few
months in Israel on an internship and
graduates from Massachusetts Maritime
Academy in December. Son Ben sells
cars at Clay Nissan in West Newton,
Mass. Daughter Kate gave Roger his
first grandchild, Amelia, 1. Daughter
Jill manages a dermatology practice
in Marblehead, Mass.

Lad Nagurney’s daughter graduated
from high school this year, was considering
Lafayette, and had visited campus.
Hopefully, there will be a second
Leopard in Lad’s family next year.
Henry Dubroff, chair and editor for
Pacific Coast Business Times, accepted the
publication’s fifth Best in Business award
from Society of American Business
Editors and Writers in Indianapolis in
March. Henry’s company received an
honorable mention for its new model for
paid digital content in the “10 That Do
It Right” edition of Editor & Publisher.

reunion.
George Morgan married his
childhood sweetheart, Martine, in 2005
in Miami. George moved from Miami to
live with her in Madrid, Spain, in late
2007. After working in U.S. and
European international, commercial,
investment, and private banks for 35
years, he now has his own international
financial consulting business. George
works with European renewable energy
firms and is forming a management by
objectives of a Spanish real estate firm
with three partners, to be headquartered
in Dubai, with operations in the Emirates,
Chile, Uruguay, Colombia, Spain, and
United States. From his first marriage, he
has five children and three grandchildren.
From his second marriage, he is
grandfather to two boys, ages 1 and 5.
He has been an Alumni Admissions
Representative for Lafayette since the
1990s, first in London, then from Miami,
and now in Madrid.
James “Jim” Jackson wrote One
Trick at a Time: How to Start Winning
at Bridge for intermediate bridge
players. The book was published by
Master Point Press (see photo online).
He retired as a consulting actuary in

Guy Hembling has been married
to Gail for 25 years; they have two
children, Blaire, 24, and Trevor, 16.
The Hemblings live in Rumson, N.J.
Guy is president of C.B. Hembling &
Son Construction, commercial and
residential builders in business since
1918. A professional artist, he is a
member of and shows his work at
Salmagundi Club in NYC. Guy enjoys
trout fishing, sailing, shooting, skiing,
and long-distance swimming.
Larry Friedman has lived in Ann
Arbor, Mich., since graduation. He
retired from the city’s Community
Development Department 10 years
ago. Daughter Lauren graduated from
Wellesley in 2009 and son Alex from
Grand Valley State University this past
spring. Last fall, Larry and Hank
Darlington ’57 biked 1,624 miles from
Portland, Maine, to Daytona Beach, Fla.,
in three weeks (see photo online).
Frank Julia has been plagued with
minor medical problems this year: hip,
shoulder, and a heel spur. He is back
to normal and planned to spend spring
and summer biking and kayaking.

Larry Berglund lives in
1973 Berwyn, Pa., with wife
Carolyn (daughter of H. Palmer
Woodcock ’50). In April, he celebrated
his 25th year at Pennsylvania Trust
Company in Radnor, for which he is
an owner, senior vice president, and
portfolio manager. He is president of
the elder association of Zeta Psi, which
is sponsoring the new Lafayette College
gate. Daughter Megan, 28, is a cardiac
ICU nurse at Lankenau Hospital.
