Elizabeth Helwig graduated from
University of Connecticut School of
Dental Medicine in May and is in a
pediatric dental residency at University
of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey.
Capt. Dane Hanson completed his
master’s degree in engineering
management at Missouri University of
Science and Technology and Engineer
Captains’ Career Course in Missouri. He
also graduated from U.S. Army Ranger
School, earning his Ranger tab and senior
parachutist wings. He is stationed at
Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, where he
serves as assistant brigade engineer for
Second Brigade, 25th Infantry Division.

welcomed their second son, Connor
Michael, on Nov. 16.

Amy McMahon graduated from
University of Pennsylvania’s nursing
school with a BSN and RN in December.
During her final semester, she researched
strategies for maintaining healthy
pregnancies. She will pursue a career
in pediatrics.
Joseph Lanzot accepted a position
as an assistant prosecutor at Hudson
County (N.J.) prosecutor’s office and
is assigned to the Special Victims Unit.

Doremus were married June 7, 2011,

David Stamm passed bar
2008 exams for Pennsylvania
and New Jersey in July. He is employed
as an associate attorney at the law firm
of Stuckert and Yates, based in
Newtown, Pa.
Michelle Donofrio is global
coordinator for trade marketing at
Fresh Inc., a luxury skincare company in
New York. She works with Fresh Retail
stores and Sephora International stores,
including those in Singapore, Malaysia,
Canada, and Mexico. She lives in
Hoboken, N.J., along with Greg
Lippert, Pat O’Neill ’07, Christine
Welsh, Kyle Roeder, Michael Di
Paola, Jack Thomson, and Kody
Babcock ’09. Michelle looks forward
to being a bridesmaid in the fall 2012
wedding of Christine Welsh and
Kyle Roeder.
Lia Mandaglio graduated from
George Washington University Law
School, with multiple publications, and
started as global finance associate at
Alston & Bird LLP in Manhattan. In
February 2011, Lia co-founded Athlete
Ally, a nonprofit organization that
encourages athletes, coaches, parents,
fans, and other members of the sports
community to respect all individuals
involved in sports, regardless of
perceived or actual sexual orientation,
gender identity, or gender expression.
The organization has achieved
significant success, being featured by
The New York Times, Washington Post,
MSNBC, EPSN, and other media
outlets. It established ambassador
programs at dozens of colleges and
universities around the country. In
addition, Lia married her long-time
partner and Athlete Ally co-founder,
Hudson Taylor, in Washington, D.C.,
on Sept. 24 (see photo online). The
couple resides in NYC and will change
their surnames this spring to Parifax,
which means “with the same flame.”
Christine Fitzherbert married
Sam Singer on Oct. 23, 2010, in
South Jersey. The bridal party included
Kathleen Reddington (maid of
honor), Marjorie Schmidt, Caitlin
Ward, and Jesse Hatgis. Also attending
were Elena Dones ’07, Megan
Chawner, Deni Deliallisi ’09, Zac
Zamore ’09, and John Livanos ’10.
The couple resides in Hasbrouck
Heights, N.J., where they are hard at
work on their new home. Christine
works in Pfizer’s vaccines department.
Sam works at Langan Engineering in
NYC and expected to receive his
master’s in geotechnical engineering
this past May.

Davies-Lazarte ’09.

at Medill School of Journalism.

Dynamic Sports Development, which
offers specialized sports training and
education resources/business services
to student athletes who aspire to
play beyond high school and to
their families.

Karla Barbiche Brawner and
husband Ian had their first child,
Brinn, on July 12, 2011.
Erin Zimmermann, who lives in
Houston, is working in turbomachinery
service engineering for GE Oil & Gas.
Ashley Richards teaches biology in
an alternative education classroom for
Tulpehocken Area High School in
Bernville, Pa. She and Jeremy Pastor
were married Oct. 29.
Laura Ellman and Brad Maurer ’07
planned to marry this June.
Carolyn Romney expected to
graduate in June from the MBA
program at University of Rochester’s
Simon School of Business, at which she
studied strategy, finance, and marketing.
In July, she expects to begin as assistant
brand manager at Novartis Consumer
Health in Parsippany, N.J.
Mary Rollyson and Jamison
Caldwell ’07 wed April 28 in Maryland
in the presence of family, friends, and
many alumni. The couple lives in Fells
Point, Baltimore.
