Admissions policy<br />
St George’s Catholic School is a Roman Catholic<br />
Voluntary Aided mixed all-ability school in the<br />
trusteeship of the Archdiocese of <strong>Westminster</strong>. It is<br />
maintained by <strong>Westminster</strong> Council.<br />
Priority for admission will be given<br />
to applicants in the following order.<br />
1 Looked After Children from Catholic families.<br />
2 Baptised Catholics with the support of a<br />
priest’s reference.<br />
3 Other baptised Catholics (priority in categories<br />
2 & 3 will be given to children who have a brother<br />
or sister already in the school).<br />
4 Other Looked After Children.<br />
5 Other children who have a brother or sister at<br />
the school.<br />
6 Christians of other denominations whose<br />
parents support the Catholic ethos of the School<br />
and whose application is supported by their<br />
religious leader.<br />
7 Children of other faiths whose parents support<br />
the Catholic ethos of the School and whose<br />
application is supported by their religious leader.<br />
8 Any other children whose family wish them to have<br />
a Catholic education.<br />
St George’s School has 120 places available for<br />
Year 7 students.<br />
If, due to over subscription, it is necessary to decide<br />
between children who have equal claim to a place,<br />
priority will be given to those living nearest to the<br />
school, measured by the shortest walking route.<br />
