A. Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, and <strong>16</strong> and Appendix A, B, and I of the<br />
Uniform Plumbing Code, 2009 Edition, as published by or jointly with the International Association of<br />
Plumbing and Mechanical Officials and as amended in chapters 51-56 WAC and 51-57 WAC, and the gas<br />
piping provisions of the International Fuel Gas Code, 2009 Edition, the National Fuel Gas Code, 2009<br />
Edition (2009 ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54), the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code, 2008 Edition (2008 NFPA 58)<br />
as amended in chapter 51-52 WAC, and the International Residential Code, 2009 Edition, as amended in<br />
chapter 51-51 WAC, are hereby adopted and together with <strong>King</strong> <strong>County</strong> amendments, additions and<br />
deletions adopted in this chapter are adopted as the <strong>King</strong> <strong>County</strong> Plumbing Code and may be cited as<br />
such and referred to in this chapter as "this code." This code shall have precedence over documents<br />
adopted by reference.<br />
B. This code also may be further clarified and implemented by administrative rules adopted in<br />
accordance with K.C.C. chapter 2.98. (Ord. 17191 § 6, 2011: Ord. 15802 § 1<strong>16</strong>, 2007: Ord. 10589 § 1,<br />
1992: Ord. 9151 § 1, 1989: Ord. 8008, 1987: Ord. 6746 § 5, 1984).<br />
<strong>16</strong>.32.050 Enforcement. The authority having jurisdiction is authorized to enforce this code<br />
accordance with K.C.C. <strong>Title</strong> 23 except as specifically otherwise provided in this code. (Ord. 15802 § 117,<br />
2007: Ord. 6746 § 7, 1984).<br />
<strong>16</strong>.32.080 Fees - permit fees - double permit fee requirements - fees for reinspection service -<br />
refund of permit fees.<br />
A. An applicant for a permit to do work under this code shall pay for each plumbing permit, at the<br />
time of issuance, a fee in accordance with the following schedule, and at the rate provided for each permit<br />
classification shown in the schedule:<br />

Plumbing permit fees for fixtures or traps, including water, drainage and vent<br />
piping, other than backflow devices and assemblies, for which a separate permit<br />
shall be obtained at the rates in this schedule:<br />
One fixture or trap $140.00<br />
Two to three fixtures or traps $210.00<br />
Four to six fixtures or traps $298.00<br />
Seven to ten fixtures or traps $333.00<br />
More than ten fixtures or traps<br />
$333.00 base fee<br />
for ten fixtures or traps<br />
plus $8.00 for each<br />
additional fixture or trap<br />
Plumbing permit fees for backflow devices or assemblies:<br />
One device or assembly 130.00<br />
Two to three devices or assemblies $210.00<br />
Four to six devices or assemblies $298.00<br />
