The map would be scroll and zoom capable showing the locations of LPR/Speed systems. When
an LPR/Speed system is clicked on, a table is displayed listing vehicle information, such as at
what time vehicles passed and at what speed they were traveling. Queries could also be run
against the database, such as “Show the travel paths taken by a vehicle with license plate number
“FDE124” between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM on December 8, 2006”. The map would highlight
which LPR/Speed systems the vehicle had passed and at what times. This type of application
could be helpful for many different types of scenarios. Law enforcement could easily track a
criminal’s path in real time and be able to locate and capture them.
