CAUTION<br />
The left and right fork tubes must bealigned (level) at the top clamps.<br />
(see the illustration).<br />
Compression Dampening Adjustment<br />
- To adjust, turn the knob located at the top of the fork. Adjust to<br />
rider preferance.<br />
Oil level Adjustment<br />
- Using the stand under the frame, stabilize the motorcycle.<br />
- Place a stand or block under the engine so that the front wheel is<br />
raised off the ground.<br />
- Remove the front fender and front disc cover.<br />
- Unbolt the brake hose holder mounting bolts.<br />
- Remove the front fork protectors.<br />
- Remove the handlebar clamp bolts and remove the handlebar.<br />
- Remove the top clamps of the forklegs.<br />
- Let the forks completely compress.<br />
- Raise the fork springs from the fork.<br />
- Grasp the top casps and loosen the clck nuts on the caps.<br />
- Remove the caps from the fork legs.<br />
- Remove the fork springs.<br />
- Put the oil level gauge on the top of the fork tube, and measure<br />
the distance from the top of the fork tube to the oil level.<br />
