1.0 PROJECT DESCRIPTION<br />

This Monthly Progress Report has been prepared to summarize the activities performed from October 1,200O to<br />

October 31, <strong>2000</strong>, as well as a summary of the work planned for the month of November <strong>2000</strong> by OHM<br />

emediation Services Corp., (OHM), on Task Order 0033 of the Navy-LANTDIV RAC Contract N62470-97-<br />

j-5000. This Task Order was signed on March 10, 1999.<br />

The remediation effort consists of:<br />

1. Relocation of the field offices to the rear of Lot 203 and the purchase of offices, equipment and vehicles.<br />

2. Operation and maintenance of the Hadnot Point North and South Plants for a period of two years.<br />

3. Operation and maintenance of the Lot 203 Groundwater Treatment Plant for a period of two years.<br />

4. Operation and maintenance of the Air Sparging and SVE systems at TT-2477/78 and Berkley Manor 820<br />

for a period of two years and support in the NFA Requests for AS 822 and STT 69.<br />

5. FY 00 and FY 01 Site Management Plan and RAB Support.<br />

6. Administrative and field support services for a period of two years.<br />

7. Corrective actions as may be required during the course of two years of field operations.<br />

8. RCRA Closure of Buildings TP 452 and TP 463.<br />

The total current value of this task order including modifications is $3,039,712.00 exclusive of fee.<br />

2.0 WORK ACCOMPLISHED<br />

During the month of October <strong>2000</strong>, OHM has performed the following:<br />

1. Operated and maintained the Groundwater Treatment Plant at Lot 203 for the month experiencing 48<br />

hours of downtime due to changing the cartridge filters 8 times, pressure washing and cleaning the<br />

Polymax unit, backwashing the carbon cells, repairing the filter press feed pump, cleaning the mix tank<br />

and performing <strong>monthly</strong> maintenance items. Treated 12,046,100 gallons of groundwater and 425,000<br />
