<strong>Sanitary</strong> <strong>pumps</strong><br />
Mechanical installation<br />
Never install the pump with the motor pointing downwards.<br />
Horizontal installation<br />
• Pumps fitted with motors up to and including 4 kW<br />
require a 300 mm clearance behind the motor.<br />
See fig. 44.<br />
• Pumps fitted with motors of 5.5 kW and up require<br />
a 300 mm clearance behind and a 1 metre clearance<br />
above the motor to allow the use of lifting equipment.<br />

The <strong>pumps</strong> must be installed in such a way that strain<br />
from the pipework is not transferred to the pump<br />
housing.<br />
When installed outdoors, the motor must be provided<br />
with a suitable cover to avoid condensation on the<br />
electronic components and to protect pump and motor<br />
against the direct effects of the elements.<br />
