PART B WORKING AT CRIMTRAC<br />

COMMITMENT TO THE CRIMTRAC VALUES, APS VALUES AND CODE OF CONDUCT<br />

22. <strong>CrimTrac</strong> and its employees commit themselves to upholding <strong>CrimTrac</strong>’s Values, the Australian Public<br />

Service Values (the APS Values) and complying with the APS Code of Conduct (sections 10 and 13<br />

respectively of the Public Service Act 1999).<br />

GENERAL EMPLOYER AND EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIES<br />

My responsibilities to <strong>CrimTrac</strong><br />

23. My key responsibilities as a <strong>CrimTrac</strong> employee include (but are not limited to):<br />

a. ensuring my behaviour complies with and upholds <strong>CrimTrac</strong>’s Values, the APS Code of Conduct<br />

and the APS Values<br />

b. performing all work to the best of my ability, skill and competence in accordance with my<br />

position profile (a copy of which has been provided to me as varied from time to time)<br />

c. carrying out my work at locations reasonably requested by <strong>CrimTrac</strong><br />

d. complying with <strong>CrimTrac</strong> policies, procedures and work practices as varied from time to time<br />

e. being ready, willing and available to work without being impaired by alcohol or drugs<br />

f. doing my best to promote, and not harm, <strong>CrimTrac</strong>’s operations, interests and reputation<br />

g. behaving professionally, and treating people with dignity and respect<br />

h. actively balancing my life (taking annual leave, striving to keep flex credits below 20 hours and<br />

debits below 10 hours, minimising unscheduled absences and undertaking rehabilitation when<br />

needed for returning to work after illness or injury)<br />

i. contributing to a safe, secure and fair workplace<br />

j. complying with all lawful instructions in connection with my employment.<br />

<strong>CrimTrac</strong>’s responsibilities to You<br />

24. <strong>CrimTrac</strong>’s key responsibilities to its employees include (but are not limited to):<br />

a. providing a safe, secure and fair workplace<br />

b. acting in accordance with <strong>CrimTrac</strong> policies and procedures as varied from time to time<br />

c. abiding by the requirements of relevant legislation that applies to the employment relationship<br />

including laws relating to:<br />

i. industrial relations<br />

ii. anti-discrimination<br />

iii. superannuation<br />

iv. long service leave<br />

v. occupational health and safety<br />

vi. workers’ compensation<br />

vii. taxation<br />
