PART DAY TRAVEL ALLOWANCE<br />

358. Employees who travel for business purposes but are not required to stay overnight will receive part<br />

day travelling allowance provided the employee is absent from their home base for 10 hours or<br />

more. An employee who receives the allowance and either does not travel or undertakes travel for a<br />

lesser period than anticipated, must repay any excess travel allowance received for that period. Part<br />

day travelling allowance is paid at the rate of $50 per day (subject to change in the Travel policy) and<br />

is taxable. The CEO may review the amount paid.<br />

RELOCATION EXPENSES<br />

359. The CEO may make financial assistance, including reimbursement of removal expenses, available for<br />

relocation of a person from one locality to another on engagement or promotion to, or assignment<br />

to or within, the Agency.<br />

REIMBURSEMENT FOR LOSS & DAMAGE TO CLOTHING OR PERSONAL EFFECTS<br />

360. Where <strong>CrimTrac</strong> determines that loss or damage to an employee’s clothing or personal effects is<br />

attributable to the employee’s work, the manager may approve reimbursement of the reasonable<br />

cost of repair or, if irreparable, the reasonable cost of replacement of the clothing or personal effects<br />

in accordance with the relevant <strong>CrimTrac</strong> employment guidelines.<br />

EXPENSES ON RECALL FROM LEAVE<br />

361. The CEO may pay an employee travel and incidental expenses reasonably incurred because the<br />

employee’s leave is cancelled and the employee is recalled to duty from leave.<br />

FIRST AID CERTIFICATE ALLOWANCE<br />

362. An employee will be paid an allowance of $21 per fortnight where the CEO is satisfied that an<br />

employee meets the following conditions:<br />

a. possesses a relevant and current first aid certificate<br />

b. has continuing expertise commensurate with that qualification<br />

c. has first aid responsibilities in the workplace.<br />

363. This amount is fixed for the life of this <strong>Agreement</strong>.<br />

FIRE WARDEN ALLOWANCE<br />

364. An employee will be paid an allowance of $11 per fortnight where the CEO is satisfied that an<br />

employee meets the following conditions:<br />

a. has successfully undertaken specified fire warden training<br />

b. has continuing expertise commensurate with that training<br />

c. has fire warden responsibilities in the workplace.<br />

365. This amount is fixed for the life of this <strong>Agreement</strong>.<br />

HEALTH AND SAFETY REPRESENTATIVE ALLOWANCE<br />

366. An employee will be paid an allowance of $16 per fortnight where the CEO is satisfied that an<br />

employee meets the following conditions:<br />

a. has successfully undertaken specified Health and Safety Representative training<br />

b. has continuing expertise commensurate with that training<br />

c. has Health and Safety Representative responsibilities in the workplace.<br />
