4. To redirect the output to serial port #1, enter the following command at<br />

the system prompt: MODE LPT1:=COM1:.<br />

5. To redirect the output to serial port #2, enter the following command at<br />

the system prompt: MODE LPT1:=COM2:.<br />

6. The computer end of the cable must be plugged into the serial port<br />

defined as COM1 (or COM2). The cutter’ s baud rate must be set to 9600,<br />

with parity NONE and RTS/DTR mode set to TOGGLE.<br />

To set up your system, proceed as follows:<br />

1. Select “Main group” in the Program Manager. Select “Control Panel’,<br />

then “Ports” and then the port that is connected to the cutter. Press the<br />

“Settings” Button to see the port settings.<br />

2. The default settings of the cutter are as follow:<br />

• Baudrate : 9600 (see 2.2.12.)<br />

• Data Bits : 8<br />

• Parity : none (see 2.2.14.)<br />

• Stop Bits: 2<br />

• Flow Control : Hardware or Xon / Xoff<br />

To set up your system, proceed as follows:<br />

1. Press the “Start” Button and select “Settings”, continued by “Control<br />

Panel”. Press on the “System” icon and select the “Device Manager” tab.<br />

Select the port that is connected to the cutter and click on the properties<br />

button. Select the “Port Settings” tab to set the port settings.<br />
