GENERAL INFORMATION<br />

REGISTRATION<br />

Attendee registration will be held in the atrium on<br />

level 1 on the north side (Fourth Street) of the convention<br />

center. Attendee registration will be open as<br />

indicated on the schedule below.<br />

Monday, Feb.7 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.<br />

Tuesday, Feb. 8 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.<br />

Wednesday, Feb. 9 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.<br />

Thursday, Feb. 10 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.<br />

Friday, Feb. 11 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.<br />

REGISTRATION/NAME BADGE POLICIES<br />

<strong>TCEA</strong> name badges must be worn by attendees<br />

during all convention events. Attendee badges will<br />

have a barcode strip which contains information<br />

collected from their registration forms. Exhibitors<br />

may ask your permission to scan the badge<br />

in order to capture this information. If you do not<br />

wish to share the information with them, you may<br />

decline their request, mark through your barcode<br />

so that it is not readable, or cover the barcode with<br />

something else. Badges are non-transferable and<br />

non-refundable.<br />

FOOD AND REFRESHMENTS<br />

Food and beverage kiosks will be located throughout<br />

the convention center on levels 1 and 4 for your<br />

convenience. During exhibit hours on Wednesday,<br />

Thursday, and Friday, a concession area will be set<br />

up at the back of the exhibit hall.<br />

You may pick up a complete list of local eateries at<br />

the information desk located at registration. There<br />

are more than 100 restaurants in the downtown<br />

vicinity. This list is also available in the <strong>TCEA</strong> mobile<br />

app with interactive maps.<br />

ROOM CAPACITY<br />

Standing or sitting in aisles of session rooms is not<br />

permitted. All rooms are set to the maximum attendance<br />

allowed by the fire marshal. All participants<br />

will be asked to leave the session room at the end<br />

of the session.<br />

CPE FORMS<br />

Most workshops and presentations are eligible for<br />

CPE credit hours. Credit hours and session numbers<br />

are listed with the session descriptions in this<br />

program. It is your responsibility to track your CPE<br />

hours. A form for tracking is included on page 179.<br />

SMOKING<br />

The Austin Convention Center is a smoke-free<br />

facility.<br />

COAT LUGGAGE CHECK<br />

A coat and luggage check will be operational<br />

Monday, Feb. 7 through Friday, Feb. 11, and will be<br />

located across from the exhibit hall entrance at the<br />

Exhibit Hall 2 doors.<br />

EMAIL STATIONS<br />

Email stations will be provided to help you stay in<br />

touch while at the convention. Stations will be located<br />

on level 1 near the registration area, level 4 near<br />

Room 15, and in the lounge in the exhibit hall. Please<br />

refer to the maps on pages 175-178 for locations.<br />

RECHARGE ZONE<br />

<strong>TCEA</strong> will provide three areas throughout the<br />

convention center equipped with tables, chairs,<br />

and electricity for recharging laptops and mobile<br />

devices. Recharge Zones are located on level 1 at<br />

the Bloggers Café, at the iPlayground, and on level<br />

4 outside Room 15.<br />

WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS<br />

Austin Convention Center offers free wireless Internet<br />

throughout the center for attendees who want<br />

to bring their laptop computers and check email<br />

during breaks. There will also be email stations set<br />

up on levels 1 and 4 of the convention center and in<br />

the exhibit hall. Please refer to the maps on pages<br />

175-178 for locations.<br />

THE LOWDOWN<br />

INFORMATION HELP DESK<br />

This desk will be set up in the registration area on<br />

level 1 to assist <strong>TCEA</strong> attendees with directions to<br />

sessions and events, as well as to provide information<br />

about Austin.<br />
