WELCOME LETTER FROM KARLA
On behalf of the TCEA Board of Directors, Convention Steering Committee,
Executive Director, and staff, welcome to the 2011 Convention & Exposition
– no limITs: technology beyond imagination. Today there are no limITs to the
opportunities for teaching and learning anytime, anywhere.
We are limited only by our imagination!
During your time here, you will have access to limitless resources
through the many sessions, workshops, featured
speakers sessions, playgrounds, academies, and exhibits.
The steering committee has worked tirelessly to ensure
that the speakers, presenters, and activities are the very
best. I encourage you to use your convention planner
either online or via the mobile app to personalize your
convention experience.
If this is your first time to attend TCEA, there are two
first-timers sessions designed to give you an overview
of the convention and tips for navigating your way
through the many offerings available. I encourage you
to take advantage of this entertaining session!
The exhibit hall is always a highlight of the convention. There you will see
the latest educational technology products and services. Many exhibitors
offer presentations periodically throughout the convention, and many also
give away door prizes!
Please join us at the annual social on Thursday evening. “Thursday Night
Fever” will have you groovin’ to the music of our live band Signed, Sealed,
Delivered. There will be games, great door prizes, appetizers, drinks, and a
cash bar.
It has been my great honor to serve as the vice president of convention this
year. It is my hope that your convention experience continues beyond this
week through the ideas, resources, and contacts that you take with you.
May your convention experience truly have no limITs!
