I want to reassure you that it’s neither possible nor advisable to limit every single<br />

molecule of excitotoxins, as we do need low levels of glutamate. However, it is<br />

necessary to avoid excessive intake in order to stop the inflammatory process that<br />

glutamate and other excitotoxins trigger. To help our nerves function, we need<br />

the stimulatory activity provided by the glutamate receptor. What we want to<br />

avoid is excessive stimulation.<br />
