2009 Chardonnay Washington_ _____________________ 34.99
2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley_ ______________ 39.99
“This is 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot and 4% Cabernet
Franc. Thick and dense, it’s a perfect companion to the winery’s
current release of Merlot, though they are a year apart in vintage.
This Cabernet has slight intimations of herb and black olive, and is
tightly focused with very dark cassis and plum fruit flavors. It’s a
wine to cellar, as it is still a little hot and tightly wound. Cellar
Selection.” Wine Enthusiast, rated 93/100
2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley_ ____________ mag. 99.99
2008 Merlot Columbia Valley_______________________ 34.99
“This 100% Merlot is sourced from Sagemoor Farms’ Bacchus and
Dionysus vineyards. For the first time, there is no Cabernet Franc in
the blend. Richly fruity, with loads of cherry, raspberry compote and
black currant flavors, this melds in grace notes of chocolate and
caramel, seamlessly. Thick and flat-out luscious, yet structured with
a tannic spine that gives definition and focus all the way through.
Editor’s Choice.” Wine Enthusiast, rated 95/100
2009 Las Olas_ _____________________________________ 9.99
70% Verdejo and 30% Viura… stainless steel fermentation gives it
such a clean and vibrant feel. Pale yellow in color with intense fruit.
Light and agreeable with mineral notes and herbs. Serve it chilled
with crab meat appetizers, mussels, shrimp toast and also pairs nicely
with cold lobster salads, grilled chicken panninis and Cuban sandwiches.
2008 Casabayo_____________________________________ 10.99
100% Tempranillo… aromas of tobacco and blueberry/blackberry
fruit. Full-bodied, strong and sturdy with gobs of ripe fruit. Juicy
and structured with a long, satisfying finish. A perfect match with
filet mignon, beef stews, full-blown roasted turkey dinners and with
a good hard cheese and fresh California figs at the end of the
meal.
2008 Nolia ________________________________________ 9.99
This wine offers a good balance between fruity notes and a toasty
oak background from the barrel aging. The nuances of spices and
leather contribute to its complexity. The mocha and coffee notes
kick in on the back end as the dark cherry flavors become harmonious
and satisfying. The finish is velvety and elegant. A nice match
with manchego cheese (sheep) and izbores cheese (goat) and with
rigatoni Bolognese, chicken cassiatore or a medium rare standing rib roast. 100%
Garnacha.
2007 Sincero_______________________________________ 13.99
100% Tempranilla from Ribera del Duero’s highest elevation vineyards.
The nose reveals cedar, mineral, earth and black fruits. Rich
on the palate with red fruits and solid tannins. Powerful with superb
grip. Enjoy it with veal shanks smothered in mushroom gravy, rabbit, eye-of-round
roasts with a warm center and fresh chicken breasts pounded think, breaded and
sautéed in a light olive oil and then baked with mozzarella cheese on top and presented
with a good sauce.
2007 Núvol________________________________________ 11.99
100% Monastrell… Aged 6 months in French and American oak…
dark ruby in color. Exhibits aromas of earth, herbs, red berries and
toasty oak. Plums, cassis and chocolate flavors all show up towards
the end after a mid-palate delight of sweet cherries. Works well with
sirloin beef kabobs, mushroom infused risotto served with double
thick veal chops and center cut pork chops on-the-bone.
2007 Lasendal______________________________________ 12.99
85% Garnacha and 15% Syrah… nose of violets and blackberry
and blueberry fruit. Pure and expansive on the palate with dark
cherry flavors, licorice tones and red fruits with a gentle vanilla
quality throughout your glass. Serve it up with a perfectly grilled
t-bone steak, standing-rib roast, venison and sausage and peppers
in a rich, thick tomato based sauce.
The Table
For centuries, the great restaurants of France have worked with their favorite
winemakers to create a unique and exclusive “vins de maison”. These wines are
considered as essential an element of the dining experience as the food and the service.
Once Wines and its winemaker, Sashi Moorman, together with the chefs
and wine directors of some of the nation’s best restaurants create unique “vins de
maison” for the dining tables at such restaurants as Craft, Restaurant Daniel,
Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bistro, Restaurant Michael Mina and Restaurant Jean
Georges. These wines are made from grapes sourced from some of Napa Valley’s best
growing regions and are created with the same care as the refined cuisine of each of
our restaurant partners. Sashi has selected one of these unique Cuvées to celebrate
the “American Table” and for the first time this wine is available outside of their
restaurants through their exclusive retail partners. Please make these wines your own
“vins de maison” and celebrate the most important Table in America, yours.
