Singers take part in<br />

concert at Worcester<br />

Cathedral<br />

Thirty three members of <strong>Pershore</strong> <strong>High</strong><br />

<strong>School</strong> will be singing in this wonderful<br />

concert in Worcester Cathedral on 27th<br />

<strong>April</strong>. It is a concert with other<br />

Worcestershire schools and young singers<br />

run by the organisaon Sing UK. We will<br />

be singing music by the French composer<br />

Fauré— his beauful Requiem and his<br />

Canque de Jean Racine. We will be<br />

accompanied by a professional orchestra,<br />

have a professional soloist and a<br />

professional conductor—Malcolm<br />

Goldring. It is going to be the most<br />

fantasc experience for all involved.<br />

Tickets are now available—please come and hear us sing.<br />

Year 3 Gymnastics<br />

Festival<br />

<strong>Pershore</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> Held a Year 3<br />

Gymnascs Fesval for the family first<br />

<strong>School</strong>s on Friday 15 th February.<br />

It was a huge success, with the Year 3’s<br />

really enjoying the event. Students from<br />

the leadership scheme included Oliver<br />

Charles, Nadeem Plimmer, Elizabeth<br />

Vizard, Robyn Walters, Hannah Kenwright,<br />

Louise Hird, Rhiannon Simpson, Abigail<br />

Pope, Verity Wild, Annie Lealan, Harry<br />

Johnson, Sophie Boulton, Shannon Aston,<br />

Megan Wardle and Claire Cooper. They all<br />

did a great job in organising the fesval<br />

and making sure the Year 3’s have a fun<br />

safe experience.<br />

Thanks to these leaders and help from<br />

the other schools we hope to run the same<br />

event next year so more students can get<br />

this opportunity.<br />

<strong>Pershore</strong> Town Youth Council receive Community Award<br />

James Jordan; Jamie Smith; Councillor Gerald O’Donnell, Maddie Hall and Oli Wilcox<br />

Gerald O’Donnell, Vice Chairman of Wychavon District Council, presents <strong>Pershore</strong> Town Youth Council members with a cerficate<br />

to mark the honour of a Community Award to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.<br />

Leadership Festival<br />

On Friday 8 th <strong>March</strong> a selected few from<br />

<strong>Pershore</strong> (Year 8) and students from Year<br />

7 at Abbey Park and Drakes Broughton<br />

took part in a leadership Fesval at the<br />

school.<br />

It was a great day, in which everyone<br />

enjoyed and learnt a lot. The leaders who<br />

helped run the fesval did a fantasc job,<br />

they were very organised throughout. A<br />

big thank you to; Molly Hanson, Izzy<br />

Adams, Anya Critchley, Andrew Murphy,<br />

Shannon Murphy, Abigail Jones, Harriet<br />

Lovegrove, Oliver Cornelius, James<br />

Morris, James Coleman, Harry Beevis,<br />

William Hulbert, Georgina Poer and<br />

Nadeem Plimmer<br />

The Year 8 pupils who took part also did a<br />

fantasc job throughout the day, with the<br />

boys winning the volleyball tournament.<br />
