BBC Drama Village Trip – Birmingham
On Wednesday 27 th February, a group of
Sixth Form Business Studies students went
on a trip to the BBC Drama Village in Selly
Oak, Birmingham. The trip provided us
with the opportunity to interview Sam Hill,
the Line Producer of dayme drama,
Doctors, whose job role we were studying.
We also got the chance to take a tour of
the set of ‘Doctors’, watched some scenes
being filmed and then were taken on a
tour of post‐producon to see what
happens before the programme is
transmied. We finished off the day
with some chips from the canteen in the
Drama Village. It provided us with a real
insight into a very different business
that many people do not get the
opportunity to see and how businesses
like this are managed.

Year 11 GCSE Revision Day
On Thursday the 7 th of March I parcipated
in an intensive revision day run by Tutor2u.
We travelled to the Vue Cinema, Star City,
Birmingham. The trip provided five sessions
covering all topics and how to answer
selected quesons. This really helped me to
revise the very first topics we covered in the
GCSE and what the examiners are looking
for. Taking the day out in a different
environment made the trip really
worthwhile and useful.

Bronze Route planning Thursday 21 st March 3.30pm – 4.45pm
in the hall.
Bronze Training Day on Monday 15 th April (PDD) 8.50am –
2.30pm.
It is important that students aend these sessions, as we cannot take them out
on the expedions if they have not done the training.
Congratulaons go to Emma Godwin, Alice Lees and Tidiahn Woodward for gaining
their Bronze Award.
