Last Chapter for Librarian Carol Smith
Carol Smith the schools librarian for
nearly two decades rered in December.
Carol said “it had been a privilege to work
with staff and students”. She recalled “I
remember my first day. Originally, it
was a job share with a lady who had
been there for 30 years so that was an
inmidang posion to be in. Every day is
different. The school runs to a roune but
the library is quite different, with people
coming in and out at all mes of the day. It
was a lovely me and a privilege to be
there. I have three grown up children and
they all went to Pershore”. She also stated
“It’s been a delight at the school working
with the staff and students and I was really
humbled by the amount of good wishes I
received. It was just amazing”.
Headteacher Clive Corbe said: “I joined
Pershore High School on the same day as
Carol in January 1996. Over those 17 years
she gave magnificent service to the school
and will be sorely missed. I would like to
wish her and her husband, Don, a long and
happy rerement together”.
