I received your request to appeal th~ denial of your initial Medicinal Use of Marijuana
Verification dated January I, 2009.
You were approved on January 26,2009, to use marijuana medicinally, in accordanci;: with
the law, while under the supervision of the Washington State Department ofCon'ections, My
office contacted you to. inform you of this and I also contacted our Interstate Compact Unit
and Field Administrator Donta Harper to re-initiate the process of having your supervision .
transferred from Arizona to Washington State. I understand that since that time, your transfer
was approved.
By this letter, I am requesting that Com'munity Corrections Officer Michael Schemnitzer
impose a DOC condition :that you not operate a motor vehicle while under the influence .
. I would encourage you to continue to program in a positive manner, following the direction
of your assigned CCO and your conditions of supervision.
