Pediatric Retinal Disorders<br />

Objective: To provide the participanting ophthalmologists an<br />
overview of the latest management pearls involved in treating<br />
pediatric retinal disorders.<br />
Summary of Content: At 27%, pediatric retinal disorders are<br />
the single most common cause of childhood blindness.<br />
Of these, more than 40% are avoidable. In spite of the large<br />
numbers, very few centers in the world deal with them.<br />
This course will include disorders like retinopathy of<br />
prematurity, congenital retinoschisis, persistent fetal<br />
vasculature, microincision vitreoretinal surgery (MIVS) in<br />
children, role of anti VEGF's in pediatric retinal disorders and<br />
retinoblastoma. It will expose the participants to the<br />
clinical features and surgical management of these disorders<br />
and will also provide the current practice patterns.<br />

Ophthalmologists, Ocular Oncologists, Retina and Pediatric<br />
